Daddy,


I loved you deeply and miss you and your presence in my life. It's funny. Since you almost disappeared during most family gatherings, shy and uncomfortable with too much attention, one might assume that the lack of your presence wouldn't be that noticeable, but nothing could be farther from the truth. Your passing has left a monumental hole in our family.

As the patriarch of the family, you quietly led the family by the example of good values and lovingly taught each of us how to be a good person and set a clear expectation that we behaved, and showed respect and good manners to other people at all times. 

So many people have told me how much they admired you. I beam with pride each time I hear others sing your praises, I always wanted to emulate you and still do. 

I will think of you and love you always.
