Kay was a tall beautiful lady that worked very hard at her job and her home. Actually her daughter Sharon looks just like her momma. Kay was very kind, thoughtful, sweet and would help anyone. She had a inviting peaceful smile that always made myself and my brothers feel welcomed into her home. Kay made her home feel like a 2nd home to myself and my brothers. Kay and my mom we're friends. My brother Mark said he remembers how she would watch the Pittsburgh pirate games. And how she would decorate her Christmas tree by putting cottonballs on it and it made it look like it had snow on it. Kay would decorate her house at Christmas beautifully. Kay made me feel so much like the family that I took trips with Sharon to Michigan to visit her relatives. My brothers and I really are greatful for Kay Burge and growing up with such great person like her. It's a shame that there's not women like her today to have our children or grandchildren around. Thank you Kay for having such a positive impact on myself and my brothers our momma always had wonderful things to say about you.

Im remembrance of my mother on her birthday October 8th......Happy Birthday in Heaven mom. Loving you always and missing you dearly.
Tim misses you dearly....he comforts me often. It's amazing that he just knows the days that I am thinking of you and finds the words or just little things that he does to let me know he is right beside me. Love you Mom

God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be. So he put his arms around you and whispered "come with me". With tearful eyes I watch you, and saw you pass away. Although I loved you dearly I could not make you stay. A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hards at rest. God broke my heart to prove to me, he only takes the best.

I remember Kay while growing up as a young kid. Danny and I hung out and were best of friends, and sometimes getting into things we didn't want our mother's to know about. It was near impossible to pull one over on her.   I respected and knew she would have no problem dealing with me as one of her own.  She has fed me when I was hungry and  I always felt safe in her home as I did in my own. I will always treasure my childhood memories of Kay and the Burge family. God bless you all.

I remember seeing the pool table in your house and thinking she must be the coolest Mom ever!

(A childhood friend shared this memory.......it's a memory from the early 70's!
