Linda Wayne Hobgood, 70, a lifetime resident of the Providence Community in Granville County passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Duke Medical Center in Durham.
A native of a Granville County, the daughter of the late James Elmo Hobgood and Hazel Ford. She was a member of West Oxford Baptist Church and retired from Suntrust Bank with over thirty years of service.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Thursday, August 31, 2017 at West Oxford Baptist Church by Rev. William Wheeler Jr. Burial will be held in Enon Baptist Church Cemetery.
Surviving are a sister Janie Francis Turner, nieces, Donna Robertson(David), Mary Dalton (Reid), Celia T. Lanksford (Glenn) , nephews Tommy Hobgood (Jill), Wayne Hobgood (Debbie) Jay Turner and best friend Denise Hite. She was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Thomas Hobgood, nephew Hugh Turner Jr. and a very close boyfriend, Thomas Hite.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 31, 2017 from 12:30-1:45PM at West Oxford Baptist Church and at other times at the home of Wayne and Debbie Hobgood.
