Logan's Birth

January 21, 2015

I Still remember the day you were born like it was yesterday. You were my first born, we really had no experience with child birth.I was 17 years old, I remember lying in bed next to dad in Uncle Junior's old blue and white trailer we were renting for $100 a month , and dad was about to get ready for work ,all of a sudden I felt a huge gush of warm liquid pour out all over in our bed. At first I didn't know what was going on but then I turned and looked at dad and said" Call the doctor", dad was half asleep and replied "why what's wrong?", I said " my water just broke". Dad immediately jumped out of bed screaming " what do I do?, O my god, what do I do?" It was so funny, he was freaking out more than me! So I told him to call your grandma Flo. Big Mistake!, LOL! We got in the car and your grandma must of been hitting 90mph on the St.Louis Canal rd.( or what u use to call the bumpy rd.)! We were in the car and the car was hitting bumps at that speed and it was throwing us all over the car, and I was hollering you gonna make him pop out, and your grandma was just laughing all crazy and snorting like she use to, and then just by listening to her, we all busted out laughing! I tell you what, that was one hell of a ride to the hospital! I just knew you was gonna fall out, LOL, but you didn't: Thank God!! So finally we made it to Terrebonne General and after Doctor Gentilly induced my labor, 9 hours later and no pain medication and a lot of me screaming the F word to your dad and whoever else dared to be in the room(sorry grandma Jennell), you were born! Daddy cut the umbilical cord. Logan James Bergeron I still remember you were 8lbs 9 and a half ounces and 21 inches long. Your head circumference was 14 inches around and you had some big ole feet, LOL. I remember waiting what seemed like a lifetime to hear your first cry and after I heard it, saw you and counted 10 fingers and toes, I passed you to daddy and just passed straight out! You looked just like me, a little Mexican looking baby. You were the most precious thing I had ever seen. You were dark with just enough black hair. You were perfect!
