His Life

DAD AS I REMEMBER HIM

April 13, 2012

Mi apa was a hard worker he always made sure we had food on the table, I remember he used to wake up early in the morning to go pick oranges, he always used to come home with a big sac of oranges for us to eat.

He didnt care if thats all we had on the table beans, rice and tortillas, but at least we had food, he was not into material things, like nice clothes, nice cars, he always made sure his yard was clean till the end.....

He didnt believe in using a lawn mower he always cut the grass with his big giant scissors, he loved to grow his own corn, tomatoes, cucumbers and have his own little garden, he also loved to grow flowers of all kinds, his favorite were roses, of all colors.

Mi apa had his days like everyone does, he had good days and bad days, when he had bad days, "oh boy" stay out of his way.... but when he had good days, he liked to smile alot, and sing with his cd's outside he would put his little radio loud and wave to neighbors and invite them over for a beer, his favorite singer was Jose ALfredo Jimenez, Ramon Ayala, Vicente Fernandez and many more he loved Marachie music, every birthday thats all he asked for was his Marachies... He lived his life to the fullest and enjoyed every minute of it, and I thank GOD we had him this long, im just sad because I never sat down to listen to his stories, and that to him meant alot. to talk about his past, things he experienced and went through, it was rough, but he was strong till the end.

I just feel bad I never hugged him or told him that i loved him till it was all to late...

And I know out of his kind heart that he did love all of us and forgave all of us for sometimes not understanding. him.  sorry dad... ; (      miss you so much....  tu hija, you will always be in my mind and my heart, and my prayers will always go to you and my mom.  Love You Both
