Mrs. Medinee Copeland Davis, 90, of 3304 Glenwood Drive, Columbus, GA departed this life on December 7, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Thomas Davis Jr.
Mrs. Davis was born in Troy, AL. on March 22, 1924 to the late Eula Copeland. She became a member of Nazareth Baptist Church in the early 1950's where served until her death. At Nazareth she served on the Kitchen Committee, the Pastor's Aide Circle, Deacon's Wives Board and as Youth Advisor.
She was employed by the Muscogee County School District as Head Cook at Claflin Elementary School for thirteen years, then by the Fort Benning School System at Faith Middle School in Fort Benning, GA until she retired.
Mrs. Davis is survived by four daughters, Eula Warren (Alvin), Annie Turner (George), Gwendolyn Reeves (Arthur), Beverly Clayborn; two sons, Thomas Davis III (Hersherline) and Roosevelt Davis (Susan); nineteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
