Melba was a strong kind hearted women. She put others before herself. She lived a long hard rough life. I remember the last times I got to spend with her. We was in the hospital December 31st all the way January 24. I spent day and night with her I wouldn't trade it for the world. The day before I left to move to south Carolina my granny looked me dead in the eyes with tears rolling down her face and said "I'm sorry I can't do it anymore." The next day I go to putting everything in the car were all outside she's talking laughing dancing ect. 3 days later I get a call saying she's gone. It got to me but I tried not to show it to anybody. 10 days later in was back in town for her funeral me and my aunt Renee was the first people to get there. She looked so peaceful and happy..
