Mr. Melvin Ed Smith was born to the late Lessie T. and John Smith on December 29, 1951 in Tallapoosa County.

He attended Laurel High School. He was employed with Granger Oil for many years.

He joined Flint Hill Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. He departed this life on Wednesday, September 9, 2015.

He leaves to cherish many fond memories: A son, Quincy
McIntyre. Two sisters: Johnnie Alae (Milton) Richardson and
Lovenia Smith, One brother, James L. Smith. A host of nieces,
nephews, other relatives and friends.
