|Let the memory of Merlinda and her gift of music resonate with us forever|
Merlinda was an amazing woman who lived an extraordinary life. A dedicated wife and mother of 3 boys, her many talents and passsion for music will be missed by all who know and love her. We welcome any stories, pictures, even any audio or video that you could share with those who miss her, because those gentle memories become the warmth in our hearts that help us take comfort in remembering the way she lived and reminds us the people we've lost are never truely that far away.
The tide recedes but leaves behind
Bright seashells on the sand.
The sun goes down, but gentle
warmth still lingers on the land.
The music stops, and yet it echoes
on in sweet refrains.....
For every joy that passes,
something beautiful remains..
Merlinda went home on April 27th and we celebrated her life on My 27th, 2012 and was broadcast live on Ustream. A DVD has also been made available by request.
"Today's your birthday; 25june2015
butterflies float with silent songs,
and the bees hum secret melodies
the breezes dance with the flowers
all in tuned with bended knees."
"Merlynne, three years, but it still feels like yesterday. We still MISS YOU bad. I still wait for your texts and your crazy e-mails. I can't wait to see you again on that GREAT GETTING UP MORNING."
"For a spirit that never burns dim."
"Thank you for giving us your wonderful children. Your gifts live on vicariously through them!"
"Ms. Merlynne--you have no idea how I missed you! I'm sorry I didn't come to see your "Celebration od Life," yes, I know nagtatampo ka sa akin. Siguro it's one of my weaknesses--during that time I can't just let you go and accept that you're gone..sorry talaga. I will always treasure our friendship and the precious moments we shared together. Love you!"
"You left a song that my heart will sing till its last beat; You left sweet memories that I'll cherish and remember even as my eyes close in death. You'll always live in my heart. I love you, I always will."
"How appropriate....forever missed. Merlynne, yes, you will be forever missed. PUCA Class of '72 will never be the same without you. So many unfinished stories, memories, shopping trips--we will have to finish them on the other side of this world. Your music and generosity will live on in our hearts. Love you forever..."
"There are times I still wonder if my phone will ring and hear your voice. Precious moments of endless laughter in the middle of the night when Pat is already asleep. My dear girlfriend I am still hurting. Ang daya mo, I am suppose to go before you. Knowing your 3 wonderful boys is such a blessing to all of us. Thank you Pat for sharing your family with us (class '72)."
"Merlinda remains alive in spirit and love. She is a shining example of beauty of heart, mind and spirit. I will always remember her. She loves love and life.....and she got it all! I know I will see her again!"
