Her Life

Louise Smith Miller, fondly called “Lucy”, was born February 7, 1932 to the late Bell and Elvira Worrel Smith in Hamilton, Georgia. She was educated in the Public School Systems of Georgia and Alabama. She was united in Holy Matrimony to J. P. Miller.

Louise accepted Christ as her Savior at Concord Baptist Church in Salem, Alabama. She later united with Zion Rest Baptist Church of Valley, AL. She was an active member of the Choir and of the Usher Ministry. Sister Miller served her church faithfully until her health failed. She was employed by Owen and Ann Hodge for many years and later by West Point Pepperrell.

Louise “Lucy” Miller was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; eight sisters, Katie Bell Hutchinson, Charlie Scott, Ethel Copeland, Elsie Williams, Lena Mae Hudson, Janie Madden, Ever Eunice Brooks and Mary Cochran; two brothers, Joe Bell Smith and Joe Henry Worrel.

Her survivors include: her loving son, Eddie Frazier (Shirley McCarden), Valley, AL; three grandsons, Eddie Lamar Stanford, Arlington, TX, Creig (Rhoeina) Stanford, Clarkville, TN and Eric Reid, Valley, AL; three great-grandsons; one aunt, Mildred Moore, Valley, AL; two special nieces, Doris Dunn and Annie Bowser both of Valley, AL; brothers-in-law, Clifford Scott, Atlanta, GA and Sidney Brooks, Phenix City, AL; sister-in-law, Beulah Mae Smith, Smiths, AL; a special god-son, Malcolm E. Copeland, Lanett, AL; special friend, Tamiko McCarden, Kennesaw, GA ; and, a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.
