Her Life
June 6, 2014

Mrs. Shelnutt was born in Albany, Georgia on April 30, 1962, the daughter of the late Gay Marie Bolt McMillan and James Marcus McMillan, Sr. Her days were filled with the joys of being a homemaker. Cooking was a favorite pastime and her family enjoyed the fruits of her labor. Her children and grandchildren were uppermost in her thoughts, and she especially loved spending time with them fishing. On any given day you could fine her supporting her granddaughter, Emily on the ball field. The bible was a source of great comfort to her. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Kenny Shelnutt of Franklin, GA.; two daughters, Dana Shelnutt, and Gayla Pyron (Steve) also of Franklin, GA.; one son, Mike Shelnutt (Jessica) of Carrollton, GA.; five sisters, Linda Prather (Phillip), Donna Mazolla (Phillip), Tammy Hasty Prestridge (Johnny)all of LaGrange, GA., Amy Alder , and Rebecca McMillan of Columbus, GA.; four brothers, Jimmy McMillan (Wanda), Glenn McMillan (Cindy), Wayne McMillan (Angie), and Neal McMillan all of Columbus, GA.; mother-in-law Betty Shelnutt of Franklin, GA; and three beloved grandchildren also of Franklin, GA.
