"Happy birthday today, Patricia! Wherever you are! I often think about you. You will be forever missed."
"I met Patricia in Tucson just a few years ago, and was honored to facilitate Courage & Renewal work with her and her colleagues. Together we explored the unseen landscape, with her courage as inspiration. A beautiful life; a beautiful soul."
"Thank you to all the family members and friends who were with us on February 13th to share the blessings of Patricia's life on us all. What a remarkable woman, I fell so graced by her presence which will stay with me always."
"Patricia, I am grateful that you have been my trainer/teacher in the Hekademos program. Learning from your inner and ancient wisdom and humor was great. You represented a vital, healing and intentional way to go in life and that with your deep believe in healthy transformational processes is for me like a landmark on my personal path."
"I met Pat in 1982 as a student at SUNY Brockport. She was my therapist for 3 years. I was honored to have kept in contact with Pat since 1985 (the year I graduated). I have known Pat for more than 30 years. She has left a lasting impression on my life. She truly was the best therapist that I have ever had. I will always love you Pat."
"I knew Pat when she lived in Brockport. I was delighted to see her when we were both attending the Koprivshitsa Festival in Bulgaria. She was serving in the Peace Corps there."
"I will always remember Patricia’s inner wisdom, here unconditional acceptance and her love . She is an important model for me as a practitioner in the mind body medicine work ."
"Pat, you helped me to change my life. My breath was just taken away when I looked you up and found your obituary. Your attention and love and belief in healing helped me become who I a today. Thank you."
"Dear Patricia, I can hardly imagine that you will not be teaching anymore in the Hekademos programme. That we have to miss your presence, your huge knowledge, your smiles, your humor, your warmth, your kind words that supported me and so many others, your jokes, your …
But I’m so grateful that you learned me how to go to my ‘’memorybank’’ (the word you used in the program), to experience the beautiful moments again, to remember your voice and your words. Thank you so much Patricia, for helping and supporting me, in my personal and professional life, for your beautiful lectures, for sharing all your wisdom. Love Femke"
"My dearest, lovely Patricia, you will be always in my heart, being a part of my inner wisdom. I am so grateful to have met you in Bergplaas, Tuscon and Spa; it was lovely to be and work with you and to share my concerns and joys in life. You brought joy, and will be doing that for ever and ever. Hope to see you once somewhere."
"I will light a candle for, Patricia.
I only knew you for the whole of three months! However, you made a deep impression within me. It's not length of time that matters but the depth of connection and quality involved.
I'm deeply saddened by your passing although I know that there are probably few people as equipped to handle this 'passing' as knowledgeably and elegantly as you are.
I have walked 'your' labyrinth twice this week, all the time thanking you for going through the process of having it made. The rare coolness of a Tucson mid day on my back, the distant din of traffic and the notion that everything and everyone have their brief moment of enlightenment within the universe, filling my mind.
I will miss your wise words, your presence and strength."
What a beautiful teacher you have been. I am very grateful to have had the chance to meet you on courses at Bergplaas, Tucson and Belgium. Special moments. The power of mind body work, caring wisdom, graceful attitude and good laughter is what you brought into my life, I will cherish that forever. Adieu, till we meet again."
"You are forever deep in my heart, Patricia. We did not know each many years, but the few we did, our friendship was precious and deep.
Thank you for being part of OMG'ers (Oh My Goddesses), Elder Circles and being a blessing to my life."
"My wife, Jan Smedley, and I met Patricia at our local Quaker meeting. She invited us to her Mind/Body seminar and we both found her/it to be an ongoing catalyst for our ability to deal with our personal trauma, our capacity to support others dealing with life threatening or impending death and an accelerated openness for growth and change--- And always in a positive direction."
"I met Patricia in the summer of 2014 during a retreat led by the Hekademos Foundation. She became for me a role model of a woman who kew how to grow old gracefully. Calm and full of energy at the same time. She had such a beautiful voice. I am grateful to have met her."
We met at Bergplaas in South Africa. You were such a special lady, strong, calm and caring. You gave me very good advice during councelling sessions, which I will cherish and follow for the rest of my life. With your help I became a stronger person. I will light a candle for you here in the Netherlands and you will be in my heart forever.
"Dearest Patricia you will always be in my hart. I have learned so many things from you through the Hekademos programme. I still see you walking under the African sun. What a honour to know you and to have experienced your wisdom. I will light a candle for you here in South Africa, while hearing your kind voice around me. I salute you!"
"Pat was a fantastic leader at our Habitat affiliate in Rochester, NY. Great at selecting and interaction with the families. Great at calming difficult situations, a real peacemaker. Great team builder, and organizer. Fun to know and work with. One of the people you really remember in life. i'm deeply sorry she is gone."
"We were fortunate to meet Patricia with Barbara in our home in Cape Town. What struck us was her youth, her level of energy and dedication to life and ongoing growth. My husband Sizwe joined her and the group for a week long journey in the Karoo and appreciated her honesty and open mindedness. We are blessed that we have known her. Love Lucienne & Sizwe"
