|Let the memory of Remember be with us forever|
This memorial website was created in the memory of our loved ones, Remember September 11, 2001
"Today on 9/11 is a day to remember those who lost their lives in the Towers, at the Pentagon, in Western PA, on the planes along with all of those First Responders who without a thought of their own safety ran into those buildings trying to save others.
For those of us born after WWII, this was our Pearl Harbor and like our parents and grandparents as the pain eases may we never ever forget this day. May we always remember where we were and what we were doing when we heard of the first plane striking the tower and thinking it was just a terrible accident? Then we must also never forget how we felt after hearing about the second plane striking the tower, that lump that every one of us as Americans got in our throats knowing in our hearts it wasn't an accident but an attack.
Remember how we felt when we heard the Pentagon was struck and wondering if it was ever going to end especially after hearing a plane was taken down by brave passengers in a field in Western PA. a plane that was headed for the Capitol in D.C.
Those of us living and working in the areas where it all happened will certainly never forget. As someone who worked outside of Washington D.C. at the time I can still remember and will never forget the sounds of F-18 jets flying overhead as they circled and flew over D.C.
I will also never forget driving home from work later that day and how eerie it was at one time being the only car on a major highway as I-95 for more than 20 miles at afternoon rush hour.
Those of us who lived close to airports as I do will always remember the deafening silence of no planes flying over our homes, amazing how you never even notice the sound of a 737 until you don't hear it.
