His Life

My Daddy

July 13, 2016

Daddy passed on 6 July 2016 after losing his battle with cancer.  He was born to Lloyd "Slim" Levern and Anna Rose Sprague in Cleveland, Ohio.  He grew up in Geneva, Ohio, and graduated from Geneva High School in 1961. After graduation, he worked for the FBI for a couple of years before joining the U.S. Air Force in April 1964. He was a decorated veteran who served over 24 years in the military, retiring at the rank of SMSGT (E8).  While in the Air Force, he was stationed in Alaska, Vietnam, Texas, Germany, and Maryland.  He was also lucky enough to visit various other parts of the world and meet people who became his life-long friends.  After retiring from the military, he continued to serve his country as a Civil Servant with the Department of Defense residing in Maryland and Texas.  He was working his 51st year of federal service when he passed.

Daddy was a generous and giving man who always put others in front of himself.  He was a father, mentor, consultant, friend and confidant to countless people. He was loved and cherished by many...he will be sadly missed.

I love you and miss you!!

Love, Your Punkin'
