Children

October 9, 2013

I will have to say that mom and dad were the best parents in the world.

Dad worked hard to provide for his family and mom worked just as hard to take care of dad and the kids.

Before mom and dad started a family of their own, they were foster parents in Los Banos California.  They had two Brothers, Timmy and Kevin Brown.  Mom and Dad had the boys for almost a year. They took such good care of the boys that when their case worker came to pick them up he ended up taking two suite cases of clothes and a car load of toys along with two crying boys who did not want to leave their loving home.  The sad end was that the state would not allow mom and dad to know where they went or what even happen to them.

Billy Gene was born December 25th 1961 in Dos Palos, California.  4 years, 11 months and 9 days after Bob and Jean was married.  some say that they had to get married, I'd say that is so not true, or mom made medical history with the longest pregnacy in history.  Billy was named after one of Dad's cousins who was killed in Korea during the Koren Conflict.

Robert Joesph was born September 15th 1967 in Los Banos, California.  He was named after both his Grandfathers.  He was the 4th baby born in the new Los Banos Hospital. When he was 2 years old he was unable to walk without pain so the doctors put him in double leg casts for about a year.  Then mom and dad took him to see the chriopractor where they were told that Rob's hip was out and that doctor gave him an adjustment and put his hip back in and solved his problems.

Darla Jean was born September 5th, 1968 in Bountiful, Utah.  She was going to be named Little Miss No Name until dad decided to name her Darla Jean after a friend of theirs oldest daughter whom both mom and dad really admired.

I want to let everyone know of all the "adopted" kids that adopted my mom and dad. As far back as I can remember, there were friends of us 3 kids who would adopted our mom and dad. They would just start calling mom and dad, mom and dad.  To this day these kids and their kids call mom and dad, mom and dad and grandpa and grandma.
