Miss Roberta Grubbs, born July 31, 1931 to the late Rev. Maso
Grubbs and Rosie Lee (Powell) Grubbs inAlexander City, Alabama, who
preceded her in death.

Roberta accepted Christ at a very early age at Mt. Calvary
Missionary Baptist Church in Alexander City, Alabama where she served
as a faithful member and usher. Roberta departed this life on November
20,2015, at Chapman Nursing Home, in Alexander City, Alabama.
Roberta graduated from Alexander City Colored High School, and
she continued her education at Poro College in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
where she received her Diploma in Scalp and Hair Treatment, and Beauty
Culture. Roberta owned and operated the Grubbs Beauty Shop. Roberta
was employed by the Alexander City School System working in the
Cafeteria at Jim Pearson Elementary School.

The loved ones that will be there to welcome her to her heavenly
home are; her parents, sisters, Cornelius Grubbs and Lois Thompson; four
brothers: Daniel, Richard, Anderson, and Maso Grubbs,Jr.

Roberta dedicated her life to taking care of her family. She was
blessed to create many memories that will carry on for those she left
behind: one brother, John Fletcher (Eunice) of Birmingham, AL, three
sisters-in-law Deborah Grubbs of Eclectic, AL and Pearl Grubbs of
Alexander City, AL. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many,
many friends.
