Ruby Mae Hoyle Joyce, 83, a native of Granville County and longtime resident of Oxford passed away Wednesday, July 4th 2012 at the home of her daughter.

She was the widow of Master Sargent William S. Joyce and the daughter of the late Ines Edgar and Nellie Mae West Hoyle. She was a member of West Oxford Baptist Church and a homemaker.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 7th 2012 at West Oxford Baptist Church by Rev. Wes Garner. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Oxford.

Surviving are two daughters, Tonia Joyce Smith of Pine Hurst, Bonnie Joyce Barnes of Durham, a son, Jeffrey Hoyle Joyce of Kannapolis, a sister Jessie Hoyle Golden of Jacksonville, Fla., a brother, C.W. Hoyle of Mechanicsville, Maryland, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Eliam O. Hoyle and Ernest L. Hoyle.

Visitation 10:00-11:00AM Saturday, July 7, 2012  prior to the funeral service in the fellowship hall of West Oxford Baptist.
