His Life
September 14, 2013

Mr. Carroll was born in Whitesburg, Georgia on June 15, 1943, the son of the late Minnie Bell Cook Carroll and Samuel Andrew Carroll. He was a retired truck driver for the Yellow Freight Lines, and was a Christian by faith. Mr. Carroll loved music, and in his younger days was a singer and guitar player in the “Blue Haze Band.” He was an avid huntsman, and fisherman. He always had a beautiful vegetable garden. He loved his family deeply and they loved him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Washington Carroll of Roopville, GA.; three sons, Tony and Lorrie Carroll of Griffin, GA., Sammy and Tammy Carroll, and Marty and Christine Carroll all of Roopville, GA.; two sisters, and two brothers, Sybil Morrow, and Lois Wilson, and Calvin and Hubert Carroll all of Carrollton, GA.; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bernard Carroll.
