Dear Massey Family,
I just can't believe it has been a year since Sheila left us here on earth to go to heaven to watch over us all from there. I know she is doing that. I know you miss her greatly but want you to know I do too. I don't know how many times I have the thoughts run through my mind I need to talk to her and think about calling. That's when it is time to say a prayer and talk to her that way. Take care and I love you all.

I have only had the pleasure of knowing Sheila for the last 5-6 years through WIFE. The first thing that pops into my mind when thinking of Sheila is American Hero...... she was always working for the glory of God, her family, her country, her community and agriculture....... and with a wonderful blend of intelligence and kindness. She spoke so often of her wonderful family.... prayers.

Dear Massey Family, My heart aches for all of you and all of Sheila's friends and family. She was such a special friend and such a helpmate to me when I was WIFE President. She was one I could always depend on to be by my side helping me. She is going to be missed. I just tell my self
God must have needed her to help him now. Love to all, Alice

Sheila always helped everyone with a smile. I remember all the 4-H projects we did. She didn't ever turn her back on you ever. and just like the old days, everyone helped everyone no matter what, but Sheila always went an extra mile no matter what. God has gained another Loving, caring and devoted angel in heaven. To her family, you all are in our prayers. she is truly missed.

Sheila was one of the first people Jack and I met when we moved to the Animas valley in '94. I enjoyed every time I was with her in the community and she will be sorely missed by all. I was blessed to know all her children, have Tisha student teach with me, go to church with Cash's family, and teach several of her grandchildren. Heaven will be enriched by her presence. Blessings to all

Sheila....I spent many nights and days in your house growing up! Had lots of memories...too many to count. You were always trying to get me to make sure the kids showed animals! You definitely will be missed and I am blessed to have spent the time with you that I did.

She was always that mom in the stands that not only cheered for her Panthers but made me feel proud to be a Tiger!! I always loved going home with Tisha and being welcomed with that big hug and warm smile. She always made me feel so welcome and loved. Sheila will always hold a special mama place in my heart. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Sheila poured her heart and soul into her community. If something important was going on, Sheila was usually in the middle of it. She let her light shine and will leave a hole in the community fabric that others will have to do some growing to fill.

I feel sad and empty, Sheila, helped many of us individually and the community as a whole. I feel honored to have a relationship as a true friend with Sheila, she was my favorite republican. Hidalgo county has suffered a great loss but heaven has gain a great asset. May she rest in peace and may your heartache heal and turn to a proud smile.

I am very thankful my children had the opportunity to also learn and grow thru their relationships with her. I am thankful for her wonderful friendship.

I will always remember the summer days at Sheila's home learning to cook and sew.The 4-H meetings in that old white 4-H building were wonderful and made me feel a part of something. I think I learned to dance on that cement slab! She was a big part of my growing up. As I have grown older, I have appreciated her drive to make our community a better place. Thank you Sheila!
