The daughter of Mrs. Zula Thomas Raymond of Columbus and Mr. Charles White (Shirley), Temeka was a Columbus. GA native, and was a 1996 graduate of Columbus High School. She obtained an Associates degree from CVCC in Nursing, and was currently as a CNA Instructor at Columbus Enrichment Services. She was a member of Forrest Park Baptist Church.

Survivors, other than her parents, include: her husband, Charles A. Prescott; a son, Terence X. Prescott; a daughter, Alicen R. Prescott; one brother, Charles O. White; three sisters, Asha M. Cooper (Derrick), Biancha T. Raymond and Nykia Buckner (Edward); her mother-in-law, Lorna P. Gray; sisters-in-law, Tyicia Crowder, Emily Crowder and Patricia Crowder; eight aunts, three uncles, a host of other relatives and friends.
