Her Life
March 3, 2016

We are blessed to have shared many wonderful memories during her 67 years but most of all her wisdom and generosity. You too may recall a fond memory, a kind word or even her generosity - this is what makes her spirit live on and how she'd like to be remembered. She loved spending time with family and close friends and talking about the good old days.

Terresa had a beautiful smile, but her biggest and most beautiful smile could often be captured when she spoke to her grandchildren whose photos she so proudly shared at every opportunity.

Terresa was united in Holy Matrimony with Mr. Bernard Waters, who was one of New York City's finest Police Officers.

She is survived by her daughter, Sonya Boadu; her son Derek Waters; a beloved daughter-in-law, Nekia Waters; her adoring grandchildren, Derek Waters II, Nyah Waters, Shaylah Waters and Maliyah Waters; siblings, John Wesley Harris of New York, Arthur H. Washington and David Washington of Virginia, Philip Wilson of North Carolina, Carolyn Washington Carey (Phillip) of Florida and Donald Taylor; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends too numerous to list, but never forgotten.
