Born to Tim E LaFitte, Sr and Louise McCoy LaFitte, Logansport, Louisiana; Tim was the second of four children:  Alta Marshall, James LaFitte and Don LaFitte

Tim attended Logansport High School where all four years he played basketball and football, elected captain of the football team his senior year.  After graduation, Tim attended Northwestern State College in Natchitoches, Louisiana.

September 1961, Tim enter the U.S. Army stationed at Ft. Leavenworth serving as Athletic and Recreation NCO, was promoted to Specialist 5 stationed in Honolulu, Hawaii before being released from service in 1965

Tim's love and passion oustside of his family was bowling.  He met his wife Margie Nell Mosley at Meadowcreek Lanes in 1966.  Tim was very active in the Houston Bowling Assocation, serving as its 21st president 1982-1984.  A life member of the Southern Bowling Congress and inducted into the Southern Bowling Congress Hall of Fame for Dedication and Service in 2011.

Tim and Margie have three children, Audra, April and John and three beautiful granddaughters, Amanda, Alicia and Rose.
