Mrs. Watkins was born on January 28, 1945, the daughter of Alice Irma Brown Patterson and the late Lanier Haskin Patterson. She was a faithful member of the Franklin First Baptist Church. Her beautiful smile could brighten any room. She had a great appreciation for good music, enjoyed keeping up with family and friends on Face Book, and in her younger years loved traveling with her husband, George. She had a deep love for her family, and spent much time praying for each one of them. The great joys of her life were her husband, children, and most especially her grandchildren. All who knew her were delighted while in her company. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband George Watkins of Franklin, GA.; mother, Alice Patterson of East Point, GA.; daughter, Heather Watkins Behnert of Florence, SC.; three sons, Randy Watkins (Paige) of Newnan, GA., Rusty Watkins of Franklin, GA., and Robby Watkins (Christina) of Sharpsburg, GA.; one brother, Pat Patterson (Lisa) of Douglassville, GA.; and five beloved grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lanier Patterson.
