Drumming was a passion from an early age - he gave up his dream of going off to train with Gene Krupa and stayed back in Toronto to pursue a more 'realistic' career...
He still got the opportunity to back-up the likes of Sammy Davis Jr. and Nat King Cole as they passed through town.
I think he would have loved this video and may have even seen it live, back in the day on the Sammy Davis Jr. Show (1966).
