Our very first football "skimmage" (as Bud Jones would pronounce) senior year at Wayne St Mary provided what we hoped would be a successful season of getting a few wins. Bill was a great running back who could outrun most defenders...he usually did. That night every time he touched the ball it was for 5-10 yards...he scored three touchdowns that night and we were thrilled!
