Mom's Passing

February 25, 2013

What a blessing that Billly and Lani were able to be with Fran in the end.

This experience was very important and Bill had peace in his heart for his Mom when she passed. He was grateful to be a part of such a spiritual experience and found many small miracles and "strange coincidences" that occured to help them throughout the time he and Lani spent in California.

Billy had a dream where he was with his mom and that she told him everything would be ok. Billy knew that it was almost time for him to go and he felt peace in his heart knowing that all would be well and his mom was with him.

Billy's Resume

February 24, 2013

I called Billy one day and asked him if he had finished updating his resume.  He had an old one on disc and just needed to add to it.  Dane had fixed up one of his old computers for Billy so Tina was just waiting for the finished product to help him "put it out there" so he could find a job.  So, when I asked him if he was almost finished he replied, "Golly, Aunt Judy, I'm still trying to figure out that mouse!." (I could picture him sitting there scratching his head.)

He wasn't computer savvy!

Caleb remembers Uncle Bill

February 22, 2013
I remember when I was 6 years old. I got a bow and arrow for my birthday.
Uncle Bill, Dad & I went outside to shoot it. Just when I pulled the string back,
my dad shouted, "not like that!!" Startled, I spun around towards them...
Uncle Bill and my Dad ducked (the arrow was ready to fire), you should have
seen the look on their faces!

Well, then I had to stand out in the cold for another 1/2 hour while (does this
surprise any of you hunting buds' of Uncle Bill?) Uncle Bill gave me the "safety
talk". :) Miss ya but we will be hunting daemons in Heaven!

Love
Caleb

Billy's New Glasses

February 18, 2013

Billy was here in Chicago with us and after about the first year, he decided he needed new glasses. The ones he had just didn't cut it anymore. I helped him investigate the most economical choices for eye exams and glasses and we decided on "For Eyes" a chain in the mall.

I went with him to the appointment, where they made the glasses on the spot. It was pretty cool. When he put on the new glasses he was amazed at how well he could see! The eye doctor asked how long it was since he got the old glasses and he said I don't know maybe a few years. The doctor asked him when the last time he had his eyes checked and he said not since grade school. So the next obvious question...How did you get your old glasses?

He shrugged his sholders and said I don't know, I found them on the side of the road somewhere!

I laughed so hard, he just looked at me like "what, they were FREE"!
