ForeverMissed

This memorial was created in the memory of our loved one, Wilma Morenings "Omi", 63, born on May 12, 1935 and passed away on June 23, 1998. She will be remembered forever.

"The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, He restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. Even though I walk
through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me;
your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever." Psalm 23

19 years since you have been gone...everyone I have ever met who knew you have something in common- that you were God's precious gift to the world, an angel, who made a difference in all of our hearts. He wanted you back home too soon. I love you Omi.

It really doesn't feel like it's been 19 years since you've passed. Oh the things I wish you could have been here for. I know you are with us all but there are many times I wish I could pick up the phone and call you and tell you that I love you. I hope and pray that I make you proud in my life and that I see you again in heaven. I miss you so much and I love you dearly!

I can't believe it took this long for me to find this... I don't know how this website is not overflowed with comments because Omi was one of a kind, amazing woman who had the purest heart than anyone I have ever met. I was 8 when she passed...and I remember it so clearly....so does any morenings family member or anyone who spent time with her... Omi was the grandmother who made all of her grandkids feel like they were her favorite and that they were extra special. I know I always thought I was her favorite ;) but she loved everyone equally and was the first person to help someone in need. Whether anyone understood why she would help certain people or not, she changed hundreds of lives. Didn't matter what color you were, where you came from, your belief....she always had faith that all of God's children would make it to Heaven with her. The memories of rolling down grassy hills with her while she had cancer...camping out in the tent in the backyard during a thunderstorm just because we asked her to...the list goes on and on and anyone who truly knew her..will have their own amazing story to tell about her. Since she has passed...her oldest son has joined her in Heaven...unexpectedly... I know they will be waiting with arms wide open when it is our turn! Life is short...God gave us one chance....our time is near...lets wake up and be like OMI and her eldest...UNCLE DAN! Anyone I have ever met that has known omi has only good things to say about her. You know why?? Because JESUS LIVED THROUGH HER! LET HIM LIVE THROUGH YOU!!!

Until we meet again...sooner than later :)

Omi was an amazing, strong, and beautiful woman. Her faith in God was inspiring and gave her the strength to face the cancer that took her from earth and led her to heaven. I will always cherish every memory, every moment I was blessed to have with her. She will always be loved and missed. I love you Omi!

rolling in grass

July 27, 2016

Now Omi had breast cancer for many years....did she show it to her grandbabies? Absolutely NOT! She would roll down the grassy hills with us like she was 10 years old again! No complaining, juist enjoying life with all of her crazy grandkids!  Reminds me of the sound of music...one of her favorites!!! All of us have special memories with her and she has encouraged me to be a better person to every child I meet. Kids know something adults do not...she knew it too...

I tried rolling down the same exact hills she rolled down with us...with my own kids (who she never has met) and I broke out in all these rashes just from rolling down a few times! She probably had the same result, however, we never knew :) just like she put a smile on for us when she was dying and feeling horrible. She kept us happy and motivated, and she always will. See you soon!

We remember the memories of when we were so young because she truly left an everlasting impression of us.
