"Benefit Fashion Show to Feature Creations of Count Lenardo"

Vintage Dress from Yolanda & Leo

March 6, 2015

Look what we found:
Amazing rare 1960s dress designed by Count Leonardo Capirone of San Francisco.  Made of beautiful hand loomed fabric in soft shades of lavender, egg shell white and orange. This dress is fully lined and the lining is hand stitched to the dress.  Count Leonardo was known for making couture one of a kind dresses for all of his clients. This is a rare chance to own a beautiful, handmade couture dress.

My name is Juliet Spagliardi (Hoopes) - daughter of Susanna Tonino (Spagliardi), who was the daughter to Savino Tonino, Yolanda's brother. While unfortunately I never had the pleasure of meeting Yolanda, I am grateful to have been able to learn more about her life here. It is evident she was an admired and loved person - I wish I had met her!  Sending all Yolanda's family warm thoughts and wishes. Juliet Spagliardi (Hoopes)

Iolanda

March 5, 2015

The first time I met Iolanda was during a tour to Piemonte of the Pimeontesi nel Mondo. She was delighted to speak piemontese and walk in the elegant streets of Torino. We became very closed she and Carla became part of my life and of my family. She loved to talk with my husband. Roberto is s General of IT Army, but first of all is an Alpino and his hat is the same Leo wore during WWII.
Walt. Lynda, the children and Carla , wonderful persons that had the fortune to live with such a MADAMA. So glad that we visited Iolanda March 2014 even if she probably could not see us as she was sleeping, but for sure she knew that we were there. When we argue about love for ever we may remembver her and Leo.
Now she is finally with him and I am sure they are planning to sew beautiful dresses for all the people they know.
Iolanda is smiling down to us and she has a place in our hearth for ever.
Ciao Iolanda. Love Lucetta and Roberto
