A Time To Be Born
Mr. Charles A. Lovelace, was born November 8,1929 to the late Lena Cofield and Charles Lovelace in Chambers County,  AL.

A Time to Die

Charles, passed away after a sudden illness, on July 30, 2015 at the Emory University Hospice in Atlanta, GA.

A Time To Learn And Work

Charles, began his education at the St. John Church School. He then graduate from the Tenth Street High School in 1947. He later attended Morris Brown College and was drafted into the  U. S. Army during the Korean War. After a tour  of duty, he was honorable discharged and made  his home in Cleveland, OH. He was employed with Sherman Williams Paint Company until he retired.

A Time To Worship

He accepted Christ at a very early age and  joined the St. John Baptist Church. After leaving West Point, GA he joined the Mt. Olivet Church Of God In Christ, Cleveland, OH, under the leadership of Pastor Paul Ealy. Charles served faithfully in his church for many years. Serving as Sunday School teacher and Deacon.

After the loss of his beloved wife, Katherine (Kathy), Charles wishes was to relocate to West Point, GA with his sister and brother. Having strong religious beliefs, he attended The Lanett Church of Christ and his home church St. John Community Baptist Church.

Charles and Kathy had no children of their own, but was instrumental in caring, loving, and helping many nieces and nephews. They also took on the task of raising Maranda Clark.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Jewel Pope, a brother, Calvin Lamar Lovelace.

A legacy of unconditional love is entrusted to the following survivors: one daughter, Maranda Clark Richardson, one grandson, Madison Richardson,
a great grandchild, one brother, Tyrone (Marylene) Patterson, LaGrange, GA; one sister, Vivian Patterson Heard, West Point, GA; a special nephew, Kelvin Patterson, West Point, GA; two sister-in-laws, Mary Robinson, Denver, CO; Linda Watson, Arkansas City, KS; a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, and other relatives including Kathy’s family and his sister and brothers family.

Special friends, Arthur Huguley, West Point, GA; Jeanette Richardson, Cleveland, OH; Paul and Gladys Phillips, Cleveland, OH, Mattie H. Trammell and the Staff of MaTrels Personal Care Home, West Point, GA.
