Hey Dad - its been a year, but I miss you and love you so much. You're in my heart like I had seen you yesterday and am waiting for you to come back from the cabin. I'm trying to be a wonderful loving kind generous person with the right priorities in life (people & critters) like you were - and like all of the people here remember you. I just wish you would call and say: "Terri, wake up - balloons, balloons, ballons !!" I'm so glad you happy, healthy, whole and full of joy with Jesus :) Love you Daddy

I will take with me all the knowledge I gleaned from our awesome hikes as I trek through the San Juan's this summer. You are so missed, but I know you will be behind every tree, every boulder, every log along the trail. Miss you especially today on your birthday. Godspeed, Uncle Bob.

I will always remember Dr, Bob, I never went skiing, camping, hiking, or fishing with Bob. I did teach Sunday School with him for several years. He had a way of making complex concepts understandable. He had a gift with the kids. God bless you Bob!

I had the good fortune to go skiing in the Jemez Mountains with Bob & Sam Beard a few times in past winters. Bob would always drive his vehicle so that he could take Buddy his doq along. Buddy would always be close by Bob when skiing so I can easily see Buddy staying by Bob when Bob passed away on May 2 when skiing in the Lizard Head Pass, Colorado area. I enjoyed skiing with Bob & listening to his many stories he would tell enroute to & from the Jemez. I have many good memories of those ski trips. Marlene, you & your family are in my thoughts & prayers. With condolences, Bob Moore

Dr Bob Blake was a best friend since his veterinary days in the 1960's
when he helped us with our livestock. He has left us, but will always be in our thoughts, memories, and prayers. He was Alan's skiing buddy
when skiing Sunrise, Santaf Fe, & Telluride slopes, also Kite Skiing at
Lizard Head Pass and Apache Creek. They enjoyed fishing at the cab
in Bob would call often about 7:30 AM while walking "Buddy". He'd' say 'Nancy, where is that scoundrel Alan? If he was gone. Bob would visit
with me about "Buddy" fishing or chasing ducks on the ditch. The last day at the cabin he told me about his long hike with "Buddy"and what a beautiful, sunny, perfect day it was and that tomorrow they were going cross-country skiing at the Meadow. Bob lived life to the fullest and had a lot more he wanted to do. he enjoyed his friends ,his church, his work at Watermelon Ranch. He loved Marlene, his family, and " Buddy "also "Pecos". He had many perfect days & it reminds me of a song                               ;
                'The Perfect Day"
When You come to the end of a Perfect day and you sit alone with yo
ur thought. While the chimes ring out with a carol gay for the joy that
the day has brought. Do you think what the end of a Perfect Day can
mean to a tired heart. When the sun goes sown with a
flaming ray and dear friends have to part. 1909 Carrie Jacob Bond.

Dr. Blake was a special man who did God's work in his service and commitment to animals both large and small. He was devoted to his family and friends. He had such a zest for life and I so cherish the last time we had to share conversation about our outdoor adventures while he taught me about geocaching. I believe he let me keep one of the little treasures. The Great Adventure has just begun in God's Kingdom!

Bob was one of my best best friend and had been for the past 45 years or may be a little more...Bob and I packtripped all over the New Mexico wildernesses fishing and hunting or just enjoying riding in the forests. Bob just called me about a couple of weeks ago and was feeling good and telling me how he had been cross country skiing as much as he could and was in good health mostly so it was a shock for me to hear about his passing in Colorado hew did not forget to tell me about "buddy"that he loved...I am sorry to say that I wont be able to attend the service Saturday due to my own physical situation..I am a young ???86 years old and feeling it...Bob will always be in my memory and prayers s and my sincere condolences to his wife Marlene and the family..God bless you all.. Paul Fiquet...his "old" buddy.

What a terrific person !!! I wish I would have had the opportunity to have known him better. From what I learned from Bob (in addition to some great skiing tips !!), he was a guy that could see through people and know right away the character of that person. A trait not many people have.
I saw that his generosity was incredible - for both animals and people - both of which, will miss him dearly.

So let us be happy that he is with God where he can continue to do the things that made him BOB.......................

Bob&Marlene display the love, care and concern of Christ
In all they do. I'm so thankful for the impact they had on our lives
while we lived in New Mexico-,and still to this day when we remember them! Bob was a very kind man who really
loved his wife, and they were just a beautiful couple to be around.
Their generosity in Christ spills over into the lives of all those around them. I'm thankful for their testimony of loving Christ JESUS in every day ways, big and small- in all they do. And how they blessed our lives.
We are praying for you Marlene, and your family.
Love, Matt&Trish,Chloe,Calah,Matthan and Micah John Thompson

I will always remember our talks together. Bob had a way of making the world a simple place. His love of life made every visit with him a true joy. He will always hold a special place in my heart and in my thoughts.

I had to share this now: I just heard yet Another story from someone whose dog my Dad nursed back to health, comforted her, and gently taught her how to properly care for her dog. I've heard this story over and over and over from people when he was alive and now. And, not just for family & close friends - the lady above was the receptionist for dad's dentist. Just about a month ago my kitty fell from a distance and badly hurt his leg. I called dad crying that Wesa was hurt bad & dad dropped everything to race across town & take Wesa to the emergency clinic for an x-ray. Dad had right away at my house diagnosed a badly dislocated elbow (& that Wesa had knocked himself out!). The vet there thought it was broken metatarsals, but guess what, after the x-ray, it proved dad was right. Dad humbly never said a "see, I was right-told you so" word. Afterwards, of course, he nursed Wesa back to complete health. Just one of the Thousands of things for which I loved you & will miss you with all my heart Dad.

Bob was another dad to me, having grown up in Bosque Farms together with Connie and Terri. I respected him deeply, cherished his help with my dogs, and guiding "The Girls" in geocaching. I will miss his humor and warming smile. I will also miss his voice and its jolly tone. May God give all who loved/love him deep, deep, warm peace.

One of the best things in life for me was being able to hike, fish and just hang out and spend time with my Unkle Bob. He taught me alot about life but mostly, as i'm sure you all know, he had a way of making everyone he was around feel special.
"i'll see you again Unk, when the stars fall from the sky and the moon appears over the Dolores River Valley".

Marlene, I remember when we asked someone to choose a key passage of the Bible for our group to study, Bob chose 2 Timothy 1:7 "for God gave us a spirit not of fear but of power and love and self-control." Whatever that verse meant to Bob, or to the both of you, from now on, whenever I read it, I will remember this godly man, who wasn't afraid of anything!

My favorite memories about Bob are from leading worship at CFC. Bob would come to church early with Marlene (who was always busy helping out in the fellowship hall) - he would sit and worship while we practiced our worship set. He also would come up and give hugs to all the team during the greeting time - sometimes while we were still playing! He was such a loving man!
