Dr Bob Blake was a best friend since his veterinary days in the 1960's
when he helped us with our livestock. He has left us, but will always be in our thoughts, memories, and prayers. He was Alan's skiing buddy
when skiing Sunrise, Santaf Fe, & Telluride slopes, also Kite Skiing at
Lizard Head Pass and Apache Creek. They enjoyed fishing at the cab
in Bob would call often about 7:30 AM while walking "Buddy". He'd' say 'Nancy, where is that scoundrel Alan? If he was gone. Bob would visit
with me about "Buddy" fishing or chasing ducks on the ditch. The last day at the cabin he told me about his long hike with "Buddy"and what a beautiful, sunny, perfect day it was and that tomorrow they were going cross-country skiing at the Meadow. Bob lived life to the fullest and had a lot more he wanted to do. he enjoyed his friends ,his church, his work at Watermelon Ranch. He loved Marlene, his family, and " Buddy "also "Pecos". He had many perfect days & it reminds me of a song ;
'The Perfect Day"
When You come to the end of a Perfect day and you sit alone with yo
ur thought. While the chimes ring out with a carol gay for the joy that
the day has brought. Do you think what the end of a Perfect Day can
mean to a tired heart. When the sun goes sown with a
flaming ray and dear friends have to part. 1909 Carrie Jacob Bond.
