I created this memorial page for my dad because I miss and love him sooo much!
Tributes
Leave a tributeYour Dad was my first boyfriend in school when he was in 8th grade and I was in 7th. I remember he raced 1/4 midget at the Lucas County Fair Grounds in Ohio and I would go there and watch him. He only went to my school for a brief time and where he went I never knew. I've searched his name a few times over the years but never came up with anything until now. I'm so sorry for your loss sweetie, your Dad was such a sweet man and had a heart that was kind. Finding this site made me very sad and for his children broke my heart!! I know he must have been a very good Daddy cause his heart was so kind!! He was a really good kid from what I observed when we were in school. If you don't mind sharing I would like to know what happened that took him from you too soon? My deepest regard for your loss, sweetie.

Quarter Midgets Toledo
I worked with Bill Paradise at Meilink Bank Equipment in Toledo OH. He and his wife Joy, had a son named Duff. Bill bought a quarter midget car and I helped him refurbish it and get it into racing condition. He and I worked together to take the car and Duff to many, many races. Mauri Rose and his son were in our quarter midget club.
I recently went through some of my old home movies and edited them. I have one good one of a race that Duff won magnificantly. I think that he was about 9 years old at the time. It shows Bill pushing the car to start, but other than that, there is not a shot of Duffs face, only the car with him in his helmet. I edited it and added some music etc. in December. I started looking to see if I could find Duff to send him a copy of the video. I sadly found this site. The photo sure looks like Duff and the race car pretty well tells me that this is he.
If you would like me to send you the video, let me know and I will do so. I can tell you a few stories too.
