Dad met Mom in the summer of 1946. He attended Bowmanville Central Public School up to Grade 8.
Over the years Dad worked as a Moulder, Rawleigh Dealer, Watkin's Dealer, Brown's Bread Dealer, and Construction Worker. At the Hamilton Cotton factory in Ajax he held the positions of General Maintenance and eventually Foreman.
He worked on his own in several businesses as self employed. In Kedron, Dad had a small engine repair business. He loved to tinker with mechanics. While living in Oshawa he had a moving business and a vinyl siding business and of course, owned Frank's Variety Store.
Dad enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing guitar, carpentry, and farming. He lived in Ontario all his life at Newcastle, Salem, Bowmanville, Warkworth, Kedron, Oshawa, Blackstock, Orono, Newtonville, and finally Hasting (Havelock).
