This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Jay Young, passed away suddenly on February 12, 2014. Jay first and foremost was a devoted husband, a loving father/grandfather, and a passionate business man. He also served as a lieutenant in the Unites States Army. His family knew him as a fun loving dedicated man. His peers knew him to be a professional hardworking man who helped so many people make their dream of homeownership a reality.

Thank you for your support, prayers and thoughts during this difficult time. We will be posting information on the dates and time of the memorial as soon as we have it.

In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation to the Jay Young Memorial Fund. Proceeds from this fund will  help cover funeral expenses.

Jay ... Happy Birthday in heaven. I still think of you often ... whenever I see anyone playing ping pong (you introduced me to foam rubber paddles ... a perceived competitive advantage) and whenever I am around any motorcycle or motor scooter enthusiasts. Plus - you were a damn good baseball player. No doubt you are at peace, my friend. I smile when I remember you, and I do remember you often.

The loss of a friend is like that of a limb; time may heal the anguish of the wound, but the loss cannot be repaired. We all lose friends.. we lose them in death, to distance, and over time. But even though they may be lost, hope is not. The key is to keep them in your heart...

Happy Birthday, Jay. Just because you are not physically here doesn't keep you from being present in the lives of all who love you. Just want you to know that I'm thinking of you today and remember you vividly and often. May God continue to hold you close!

More time has passed, Jay, and you have been gone even longer ... but it doesn't change how positive I feel about you and the memories I have from our youth. I was just remembering recently that after you showed up at my house on a Cushman Eagle and gave me a ride I really wanted one, but my dad - who was not high on motorcycles or motor scooters - would not give me permission. Once I was an adult in my thirties I bought a Suzuki 550 motorcycle which I rode fairly regularly for about three years and then sold it. The first day I rode it (and you would laugh at the story that led up to the purchase that included my wrecking a friend's Honda 500 on the same day) as I was riding around my neighborhood I said out loud, "Jay Young, where are you now? I want to take YOU for a ride today!" You were a cool, witty and fun guy. Still miss ya, still love ya. Save me a seat ... well, I mean if I deserve it.

One year ago today you left us, Jay. Just want to say I still regret that you and I didn't have or make an opportunity to see each other and sit down over dinner or coffee to catch up and share memories from our youth in Oklahoma City. The impact of your character and life continues to touch all of us who knew you and cared about you. God is holding you and I pray He will help me preserve my memories of your smile and wit.

Jay - Although we hadn't seen each other in many years when you left this world, I still remember our young days at Luther Burbank in Oklahoma City, playing YMCA baseball during the summer and in later years seeing you buzzing the neighborhood on your blue Cushman Super Eagle motorcycle (I was envious). I know you're watching us all, smiling and probably making a few wise cracks too. Miss you, my friend!

Such a natural response to pick up the phone to share a story or ask a loan question of Jay. He complimented all my sales with Texas TLC when we worked a buyer together. Foremost in his mind were Lorraine, his children and way up there on the list were the grand kids. I like all of you have lost a dear friend and was blessed to have Jay as a friend for 20 plus years. It figures, we lost Jay on a Tuesday and Friday I received an email from him wishing me a pleasant President's Day, that man was always working and planning ahead.  Jami Besecker

Hi Lorraine,

I'm so sorry I missed the service. I just returned yesterday afternoon from a trip out of the country and heard the sad news. Jay will always be rememberd as a loving, caring, wonderful man. I enjoyed visiting with him and going through the many scenarios our challenging business affords us. He was a special comrade to me.

I'm shocked. Jay, you and I went to elementary, middle and high school together but never had one on one contact after that. Then - years later, thanks for Facebook, we reconnected. Had I realized you were going to leave us all forever I would have asked for your phone number so I could call you and talk over where our lives have taken us during all the years since we last saw each other. I am really sad to learn today that you have left the earth, but I have faith that you are with God and that HE is with YOU.
