Our sincere condolences on the loss of Jim. What a great guy and helpful neighbor here in Las Vegas. His compassion shown to our family at the time of my father's passing was really comforting to my mom. We have and will remember Jim and all of your family in our thoughts and prayers.
May he Rest in Eternal Peace.

Jimmy ~We miss you! You were our neighbor for eight years and such a warm and wonderful person! Every morning, when I back out of my driveway, I think of you, as you were always backing out at the same time to take Phoenix and Buddy for their run in the park. Family... please know that our hearts are broken for you. May the peace of God fill you and give you strength. Marvin & Judy Reems

Received the news from my childhood friend Tim M today about Jimmy. After getting past the initial shock and sadness, we reminisced about some great times at UMASS w/Jim. Jimmy had a good, hard cranium for Head Butts, and loved to practice his Karate on us. The feared Tiger Claw to the throat took care of many a threat to any of us! Jim was awesome to hang out with!!! RIP Bull Dog!

Jim was my teammate in the fall of 1981, and the starting offensive guard on the most successful football team in AB history up to that point. As tough and hard-nosed as he was on the field, Jim was as kind and good-hearted a guy off the field as we had on our team. You will be missed, Jimmy.

Jim, it's hard to believe one of the gang has moved on to the next journey so soon. I was a small town kid in the big Umass jungle and you offered your friendship. I'll never forget being in a serious conversation with you when that damn ferret popped out of your jacket. You helped me understand NOT to take small things too seriously and I've always remembered. Thank you for being you.

Just today I heard of Jim's passing . I am so saddened by this news and my heart goes out to his wonderful family. James was a rock in the foundation of my childhood. I remember him in just about every class from Kindergarten on, and at every birthday party ...my heart is heavy with the memories of that smiling boy, and then the kind and sweet teenager in high school.

As Garry and Dan have mentioned about times at UMASS, those memories are also etched in my mind. The dorm room door getting kicked in and the practical joke war during Finals week, all crazy times. Jim had enthusiasm for life. His smile and infectious laugh will be remembered. He and I were roommates for three semesters and had some great discussions. He was a great guy!!!

As my groomsman at my wedding, or my roommate in Hawaii , or as my life-long friend I couldn't of dreamed of a better person to be called my friend. The times spent together will not be forgotten and although I will not be able to see you Tuesday at your Memorial please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. You are in good place now. May you be at peace

You will always be missed and remembered as a wonderful son. Ever bridfly we met at your Moms' as you cheered her after surgery. Your love of animals was evidenced so bridfly as you met chocolate lab - Jackie. Such a brief meeting - such a lasting special impression. May you rest peacefully and remain always in the hearts of those who knew and loved you.

I remember so many fun memories of Jimmy and his family from when I was a little girl. We were neighbors and enjoyed playing at each others house and did lots of things together like "log rolling" down the hill in the open space just up the street from where we lived. Jimmy was a great kid who grew up to be a great guy. May you rest in peace my life-long friend.

I miss Jimmy and will always remember the great times we had before UMASS and while roommates at "The Zoo". It always seemed like we were close to getting into so much trouble but somehow managed to do the right thing and ended up spending most of our time laughing and living life to its fullest. I can't believe he's gone...

Jim, we only met you one time - you lived so far away. But hearing your mom talk about you, you were bigger than life! She misses you so! Please look after her now - and the rest of your family too - you were so very precious to them. Peace Jimmy.

I went to Umass with Jim and I will never forget the time he locked himself out of his dorm room and instead of getting the RA he just kicked the door in with one swift karate kick...knocked the big wooden door right off the hinges ......RIP my longtime friend ..

At the end of our first semester, soph. year at UMass, Jim and his roommate (Tim M) had a "Practical Joke War" against me and my roommate (Marty J.). This was during Finals week. Grades were poor...pranks were tremendous (shoes glued to floor, mugs glued to tables, baby powder fanned under the dorm room door, etc.). He will be missed. RIP Jim.

Jim was a really great friend at AB. Back in the mid 80's I lived in Florida and he called to ask if he could crash at our apt. Of course! He arrived with a few friends and we had a great time laughing and hanging out. I was so sorry to hear of his passing, my thoughts and prayers are with you all. I hope that wonderful memories will help you through this sad time. RIP Jimmy

I always remember Jim as the older brother who was always there watching over us. A soul gone too early but a soul finally at peace. You'll be missed cousin.
