|Let the memory of Mary be with us forever|

"Mary was my very special friend and I miss her more than words can tell. I have her special angel statute on my dresser and I think of her watching over all of us. She was just that way - caring, loving and thinking of others before herself. Oh, how I miss her!"
"Look at Mary's picture on my desk every day. Still miss her but feel fortunate to have had such a wonderful friend in my life. She was a very special person. Anne Blewitt"

"You are greatly missed, dear friend. You are always in my thoughts.
My deepest condolences to the Witzig family."
"Sending lots of love to the extended Witzig family!
Mary was my beloved God Mother and always a warm bright light in my thoughts. Though we were in and out of contact over the years I always felt her love and support. I will always remember our Christmas Eve visits to the house in Hillsborough and the bunnies and beagles! I still have one of the stuffed bunnies she gave me as well as one of the ceramic bunnies I made modeled from one in her home.
She will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
Much love to you all."
"Dear Denise, I'm so very sorry to hear about the loss of your dearly loved Mother. Sending our love and best wishes to you and Dan & Nolan and all your family at this very sad time. We will hope to see you in the next few weeks and you will be in our thoughts daily.
Our best to you and your family, Sharon & John"
"Chuck and I met Mary three years ago when we moved to Mule Lane in Gardnerville, Nevada. I will miss her as a very good friend. Mary was elegant, gracious, loving and thoughtful. She always brought me chocolates just for bring in her mail when she was on vacation. We had teas and luncheons and I miss her dearly.
"Dear Suzanne (and Family) -
I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright.
I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more.
I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive.
I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger.
I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess.
I wish enough "Hello's" to get you through the final "Good-bye.""
"Dear Mark, Denise, Suzanne and Dan....I feel so blessed to have known your mother. I will always remember her with such respect, admiration, and love. She had the sweetest laughter and twinkle in her eyes and a gracious, loving spirit like no woman I have ever known. I thank her for so many wonderful memories, many that include all of you as well. When she and I last spoke, only a few weeks ago, she sounded great and was so upbeat. Then she told me "I miss Dick so much". May the thought of their reunion bring you comfort. My heart goes out to you, I share in your sense of loss and deep sadness."
"Denise, your dear mother was a joy to know and we are so saddened for her parting too soon. When we met as college roommates, she welcomed me so lovingly into her extended family. She made it easy to feel close to her - she was fun, understanding, giving, had a good heart and joie de vivre! I have so many fond memories of parties, especially Christmas at your Hillsborough home, and get togethers in Incline that your mother made special. And participating in your wedding is one of the best memories of you and Mary - both of you were jubilant, sparkling with happiness through the day and night. I am so glad to have seen you both last year when her infectious smile and laughter embraced me again. Her sparkling smile will last in all our memories forever. Love to you and family, Colleen and family"
"Mary was always such a sweet special lady to myself and my mother. We are so thankful to have been given the chance to have known her for many years. She had a way about her that everyone loved and she treated everyone with kindness and compassion. She loved her family and all her grandchildren and Mary instilled in them the same kindness.
I know we will see her again and we'll smile and remember the angel in our lives.
My mother and I extend our deepest condolences to the family and my sweet friend Suzanne."
"We met Mary 53 years ago, when we were both newly-weds. Medical practice took us to California, where we were re-united and where Mary and Dick welcomed us generously. There we met Mary's family, to whom she was always lovingly devoted. We had wonderful times in Hillsborough (Mai Tai party, for one), Incline Village and Inverness. Mary was a beautiful person in every way. She loved her family, her friends and, of course, her animals. We were indeed fortunate to have her as a dear friend, and we will truly miss her.
To paraphrase Tennyson,"God's finger touched her, and she slept."

"Mary was such a beautiful, gracious, kind, loving woman. She was always so welcoming to anyone who came into her home. I will always remember her as one of the girls on our Mexican adventures! I think she tried to be the voice of reason, but to no avail! I know her warmth and generosity will be missed by all who knew her. My deepest condolences to my best friend Suzanne and her family."
"I didn't know her well but did thru her husband who was my doctor for 20 years. He told me family stories regarding the two of them; his eyes would sparkle and would have a huge happy grin speaking of her. I met her a few times at his office. Then he started started telling me about his four children .... I loved hearing all if it. He adored her. I loved his family.
Through his stories I deeply cared about her.
May her children find peace and comfort in these tributes"
"To Mary, an angel to all who had the privilege to know her. For over 60 years she was my dear friend, Not only was she always a gorgeous woman, but even more, once you knew her well, you forgot her outer beauty since what shone above all else was her inner beauty, kindest, compassion, total loyalty, and deep love for her family and friends. I will miss her and remember her forever. She is now with the angels in heaven."
"Suzanne and family, It is so sad to know about the loss of your mom! Thru your words and pictures it is clear she was a very special lady. Sending BIG hugs and lots of prayers to get you thru this trying time. Blessings to all. Debbie Roberts"
