We met Mary 53 years ago, when we were both newly-weds. Medical practice took us to California, where we were re-united and where Mary and Dick welcomed us generously. There we met Mary's family, to whom she was always lovingly devoted. We had wonderful times in Hillsborough (Mai Tai party, for one), Incline Village and Inverness. Mary was a beautiful person in every way. She loved her family, her friends and, of course, her animals. We were indeed fortunate to have her as a dear friend, and we will truly miss her.
To paraphrase Tennyson,"God's finger touched her, and she slept."
