Some memories of Ruth
I'm named after Ruth, and I must say I do see some similarities. I often cut up celery and carrots and soak them in water as a quick snack. Even when having guests over, I don't put a big spread out for appetizers bc we certainly don't want to ruin our appetites. Ruth made a hell of a salad!!
I catch myself picking a crumb off the floor and going straight to the "rubbish" to discard the "damn" crumb. No other woman could pull off sweats like Ruth. She basically had tailored sweats. A short-sleeved sweat shirt with shiny jump suit bottoms. And of course a pop of color on her lips! And I can always remember loving her customized purses.
In Florida, I can remember not wanting to go to the beach with the others because I did not like the sand. So Ruth and I would stay home and watch golf. Maybe even out to lunch and to Target. She was a great golfer, always a straight shooter.
She was always calm and centered (especially after a glass of merlot). Smart and non-judgemental. She was honest, never masking her dislike for boats or cold weather. I admire her for her genuine nature. Ruth, you will be greatly missed. I love you!
