LIFES JOURNEY TO A BETTER PLACE
December 9th, 2012
As we reflect on our life & the lives of others it reminds us of the wonderful people that we come in contact through destiny not by chance.
Every choice we make changes the path or road we take to get to where we want to go. Steve shares the same Day and Month December "9th" as my baby sister Carolyn Beth.
I got injured in January 2009 by falling off the side of a salt spreading truck during the ice storm that hit Southern Pa and Northern MD that night of the 14th. Through time & re-hab I strengthened my right shoulder & arm to be able to@ least drive again.
Through this mis-fortune of falling I was given the opportunity to come to work @ Babikow Greenhouses with Steve, Tim & everyone else there.
It has been a privledge to get to know all of You while working @ as Tim calls it " Club Babikow"!
The experience of meeting Steve the short time I got to know him left a profound effect on my spirit & know that He has taken that "LIFES JOURNEY TO A BETTER PLACE"! Thank-You to Everyone for the last 4 years @ Club BAB's!
Childhood Memories
Where do I start with the stories? Much of our childhood was spent in the "Pasture" behind my house. Steve, Tim, Craig, Brian, Curtis, myself... we would play for hours back there. Building forts, jumps out of dirt for the bikes, rope swings crossing the stream or just walking through the stream. Even swimming in the backyard when it would get flooded. All of us would go together trick-or-treating around the "block". We also had many movie nights at Mrs. Leah and Mr. Rolands house. Playing the old Atari in the basement. I can also remember Steve and Tim getting Intellivision (Activision) and I was wanting to always go over to play :).....I also remember playing the record player at Steves and he had the song " Nothing but a Queen of Hearts" on......so many great childhood memories to cherish. One thing I remember about Steve is that he was always laughing and having a good time! Thanks Steve for the smiles you still bring when I think of you !!!
High School
I went to high school with Steve. He was always a respectful, nice, quiet guy. We would ride the bus together to our Voc Tech school and laugh and make fun of each other all the way there. He would sit with his arm along the seat just smiling at everyone the whole way. Never a mean or negative word to anyone. He will be truly missed by everyone that knew him. His family should be so proud they raised such a great man. I'm truly sorry for your loss. Thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time of sorrow.
