Her Life

BRIEF BIOGRAPHY

December 3, 2014

Titilope Arinola Aleke ( Nee Omotoso ) was born in Ibadan on
the 7th of August 1965. Born into the family of Dr
Theophilus Ibidapo Omotoso and Mrs Eunice Subulade Omotoso
from Emure Ile  Ondo State Nigeria.  She was the
third out of six children and the first daughter of the
 family.
She had her Nursery and Primary education at Sacred Heart
Private School Ring Road Ibadan from 1970 to 1977.
Her secondary education was at Queen’s School, Moor
Plantation Ibadan from 1977 to 1982 where she obtained her
WAEC qualifications with excellent results. Whilst at
Queens’s School she was a foundation member of the Maths
club which gave support and assistance to students who were
struggling with maths. As a young chap her initial interest
and passion was to be a teacher and to take good care of
 younger ones.
In the same year she gained admission into the University of
Benin where she graduated with a B.SC degree in Industrial
Mathematics. She was throughout her stay at UNIBEN a very
active member of the Christian Union, CU, and participated
fully in the fellowship choir throughout her stay. She
graduated in 1988 having stayed an extra academic session
due to a health challenge. She did her compulsory NYSC in
 Oyo State.
Her first experience working as a young graduate was when
she did her NYSC at  Ilesa, in Oyo State (as it then
was)  where she taught Mathematics in a Secondary
School. She had such passion for teaching Maths that after
her NYSC she applied to the Federal Ministry of Education
and was appointed as a Maths teacher at Federal Government
College Ijanikin. She worked  at Ijanikin from 1993 to
2001. Again at FGC Ijanikin, she kept a close fellowship
with some of her students especially the girls and spent
time counselling, conducting deliverance and baptism of the
 Holy Spirit.
When she moved over to Lagos, a colleague Mrs Iloba who had
been transferred to Abuja offered her an accommodation in 7
Ikale St Okoko which was close to FGC Ijanikin. She later
joined and became a full member of He’s Alive Chapel where
she met her husband who was then a newly ordained Pastor
with the Church. They got married 9 December 1995.
In 1998, she and her husband pioneered a branch of the
Church in Victoria Island. In view of this development she
sought a transfer from the Federal Ministry of Education and
was finally transferred to Kings College in 2001. She was an
active member of staff and rose to become Head of ICT Unit
in the College, Member of the Exam Committee and Patron of
Master Mind Club. She was promoted in 2013 to the position
of an Assistant Director of Education on Grade Level 15. She
had between 2001-2002 run a certification program in Oracle
and had desired a complete switch into the world of ICT.
In 2002, she and her husband moved from the VI Church to
start off the Berachah Centre of the Church. In 2009, she
pioneered the Vacation Bible School, a weeklong program
during the long vacation and which program grew over the
years and became a legacy perhaps for which she will best be
remembered for.  In 2012, She launched out the Teenage
Church in Berachah Centre which she had so  longed
for.  In 2010 She was ordained a Pastor in He’s Alive
 Chapel.
She was ever passionate about full time ministry and longed
to be involved in mission visits outsides the country. She
dreamt and planned to have a Teenage Camp. She was also an
avid reader of literature novels in her earlier years and
even until her death so much loved detective movies whenever
she found time. She was also a keen fan of Joyce Meyer and
spent her last few days watching Christian programs on TBN
and Christian music on 1Gospel Channel.
She was frequently down with health challenges and was a few
months ago diagnosed with a health condition- AUTO IMMUNE
DISORDER which ultimately took her life even after receiving
medical treatment outside the shores of the country.
