Tributes
Leave a tributeI check in with the kids but not often enough and that reminds me of us, how our relationship was, we didn't check in enough but it didn't matter because we both knew there was love in our hearts for each other. It's the same with the kids and I hope they know that I love them even when I don't reach out. All is well on earth, well in my circle anyway. I can't control the rest of it. :) I miss you my friend and will always be grateful for you and the time we shared.
All my love always,
Lis

Happy Birthday Betty Anne. I love you.
She lived just right down the hill from this park, and had never known about it.
We were there to play on the playground. I invited her to join us earlier on in the day and she wasnt sure. Once we were there I got a call from her and she was only blocks away and wanted to suprise us but couldnt find it.
Once she got there, she was blown away by how much she immediately loved the park. The eucalyptus trees were huge and the views were from a place in san diego she had never experiened, even though she had lived there in that city for so many years. She was so happy she came. She told me she was just sitting at home with nothing to do and really had no reason to not come, so she did!
She felt at home in this park. She told us she would definitely be visiting it again on her own. She even said she wished she had her tent to stay the night.
The sun was setting, we were talking about god knows what....and I took this picture of her.
Joyful, Joyful
I remember a party where we were all laughing and having a great time. Betty Anne's laughter overtook her, she seemed to be laughing from all the way inside from her soul, and the joy just took over and made her glow. Her laughter made all of us laugh even more. She laughed so much, one of the neighbors called the police! I don't remember now what we were laughing about, but I sure remember the joy.
It's like Maya Angelou said - something like, people will remember how you made them feel...
