Home this morning, i was struck by a very strong instinct to inquire about Dotun, who i last saw in the year 1999, during our call to bar ceremony. I was shocked to my marrow, what my findings revealed. We were not in regular contact as we used to be, because of my emigration to the US, shortly after we were called to the bar.
The news of his demise came as a rude, and unprecedented shock. Who would have thought that such a gem could exit so soon. He was such an amiable, unassuming, highly principled and meticulous in everything he embarked upon. He was God fearing. We always sat next to each other at the church then, and he loved singing the hymns and very sonorously too.
Oh my goodness! Dotun will be dearly missed. May God grant him eternal rest, and grant his loved ones the fortitude to bear this great loss, in Jesus name. Au revoir Dotun, till we meet at Jesus feet to part no more.

I've lived a life that's full
I've traveled each and every highway
But more, much more than this
I did it my way

This lyrics reminds me so much of how you chose to live. Continue to sleep in the bossom of our Lord.

Adedotun was my brother and friend. He was a man of honour and integrity. He was a gentleman full of ideas. Life is not measured by how long we live, but rather by how well we live. Yours was a short yet eventful life. In your own way you shared love the best you could. Funto, Fara and your siblings remain a testimony of your love. Take your rest and reign with Christ . Goodbye till we meet again on that resurrection day.

We little knew that morning
That God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
In death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you
But you didn’t go alone.
For part of us went with you
The day God called you home.

You left us precious memories.
Your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you
You are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken
and nothing seems the same,
but as God calls us one by one
the chain will link again.
Sleep Well Bro

Your life was a blessing , a memory to treasure.
Missed beyond words by all that knew him.
Rest in peace little brother.❤️
