When we think of our dear brother and friend Adrian, we remember Love, Laughter, and a True Genuine Friendship. The memories are endless, but here are a few that are near and dear to our hearts. Adrian managed to wear many hats and he EXCELLED at all of them. He was a HARD worker for Jehovah, his secular job and his family. That always impressed us. My husband Chris remembers them playing basketball together as teenagers. Recently Adrian came to our congregation to give a talk and Chris was so thrilled that our family could fellowship and share hospitality with Adrian, his immediate family and his two aunts. It was so enjoyable to share that. What stood out the most was the way Adrian LOVED Teela and their boys Cohen and Ethan. It was evident in everything he did. Although there is no blood relation, we are truly Family!!! We also enjoyed doing double dates together. We LOVE him, we DEEPLY miss him, and we can’t WAIT to see him in Paradise. Teela we are ALWAYS here for you and the boys. Love you.

AD was such a special person. He was always kind. He was a thoughtful person who could give the best advice. He loved his family and friends with all he had. I am going to miss his two step and his sweating, his smile and his laugh. He was a big brother to me and I will miss him dearly. May Jehovah continue to give Teela, Cohen, Ethan, Bro. Taylor, Sis. Taylor, Justin, Tanika, Josh and Lauren a calm heart and peace of mind. You are my family and I love you all dearly!

Heart so heavy! Teela, AD was a special man. He made it evident that he truly loved Jehovah, you, your sons and Jehovah’s people. He was a spiritual man. That great day is right ahead...won’t be long. Jehovah’s great “alarm clock” will wake up Adrian and he will be welcomed back with open arms. Isaiah 26:3,4 are encouraging verses to read. I will mention all of you by name in my prayers for each of you to receive the necessary comfort and strength you all deserve. So sad I can’t give you a hug my Sister. I love you!

Sandra and Robert I can only imagine the anguish you are feeling. May Jehovah massage your hearts and give you strength. I will pray for you to receive comfort and peace during this time of great anxiety.

Love Always

Tela, l cant begin to know the pain in your heart and l pray that Jehovah thru his powerful holy spirit soothe and comfort your heart and the hearts of your boys. Adrian was such a wonderful person who truly loved Jehovah. I appreciated so much the aide he gave Avery as a young man and was instrumental in molding him into the spiritual man he is now. Adrian was like a big brother to me. Every time he saw me he always checked to make sure I was ok & "staying out of trouble". When I first moved out on my own, he had thoughtful encouragement to give then he ended with DON'T MAKE ME COME OVER HERE CUZ YOU AIN'T ACTING RIGHT lol. He was a spiritual man who studied with my little brother & helped him on his journey to baptism. He LOVED his wife & kids. I will always remember Teela's bridal shower which he crashed with flowers and that Kenny Latimore song because he did that BEFORE it was cool & set the precedent for all men going forward to step their game up. He was an awesome husband, father, son, brother & friend who will be dearly missed. Teela, Cohen, Ethan, Brother & Sister Taylor, Justin, Tanika, Josh & Lauren I cannot begin to imagine what you must be going through right now but know that you are all so very loved. May Jehovah & all your loved ones be a source of comfort to you as we wait to welcome him back again.

And rely on all those Family Worship memories you made together as a family. Sandra and Robert: I cannot imagine what you are feeling. How I long to be in your presence and comfort you. You raised an amazing son to be a great husband and father and to faithfully love and serve Jehovah! Justin, Josh and Lauren: You are such amazing siblings. And no wonder, look at the example Adrian set. I know you will continue to be great uncles and aunt to Cohen and Ethan and a great support for Teela. I remember A.D. affectionately as one of my "Eastside homies." We would always seem to be at the same gatherings, or events, and he always had a crack about me being a Westsider, saying "you know you wish you lived over here!" and we'd bust out laughin, cuz, although I fronted "westside fa eva!"...I did lol. I made some of my best, memorable, and longest running friendships with the cool folks on the eastside...and I'm forever grateful. No matter when I saw him over the years, it was just like pressing the pause button...and the cracks and foolery continued. What a cool rascal. I will cherish those 90's memories and store away some more to share at his welcome back. Teela, I love you girl. Y'all went together like Jay's chips and Faygo behbeh...your Mr. Adrian. It'll just be better in a little while, when he hears our King's voice, and answers.

I loved going out in service with you Teela! Adrian always gave good talks. And you guys felt like family. I will always remember Adrian as a cool laidback brother who made people feel comfortable. I love you and the boys, Teela. Jehovah our God what a gut punching loss. We met as teens Adrian smitten by Teela chased her and they were still in that same love until his untimely death. Adrian brought a handsome young chap one of his best friends and another marriage formed from that bond. -ours (Jeanette & Korey Cook). We have been friends 25 plus years. You can imagine it wasn’t always perfect BUT THE LOVE we have for each other IS PERFECT as we unitedly serve Jehovah. Our sons grew up as cousins and will continue In the example of their fathers. Teela we love you Cohen you’re a fine young man who will help mom lead the family, Ethan protect your mom. This has taken a long time to do. Adrian passed 2 days after our brother. They both were in the hospital at the same time (actually it was one more). I was praying like crazy. It was an insane month. That was a tough week. I didn't know I knew Adrian when I was told abt him. But the heartache when u realized who had died......My husband and I went to school with Lauren and Ryan and attended the same congregation as the Loves. So, envitably we crossed paths.
Teela and family we love u. We cannot wait to see u reunited with Adrian. Your steadfastness to continue on serving Jehovah despite the pain......we keep u in our hearts thoughts and prayers. With all our love......Michael and Lawrei

Adrian was such an encouraging, wise, and enjoyable brother and friend. I got to know him over the years, especially when we were at the John R Kingdom Hall together. He was always enjoyable to work with and his enthusiasm for the truth and life made him a breath of fresh air. The pain that we all feel is great but the joy of seeing Adrian again in Paradise will be truly wonderful! Your family continues to be in our prayers. Your encouraging example of support for others who are also going through loss brings great strength to more than you may know. We love you all and can't wait for you to be reunited with Adrian!
His Life
April 3, 2020
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/llgc50eupvo6h7n/AAAljhN-Md92VpGE-fXSa9WXa?dl=0

Adrian was born on June 15, 1973, in Meridian, Mississippi to Robert and Sandra Taylor. He graduated in 1991 from Osborn High School in Detroit, MI. He worked for the Detroit Water Department as a Supervisor for 23 years.

Adrian, the eldest of four siblings, was raised to have a strong sense of family. He was the perfect big brother who was willing to assist in any way possible. His home was always open to his family and his siblings. On any given day they would just pop over and spend time visiting.

As a young man, Adrian dedicated his life to Jehovah and served faithfully for 26 years as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses. During his years of faithful service, Adrian served as a Service Overseer and had the added privilege of pioneering side by side with his lovely wife Teela. This zeal lead him to participate in the Special Metropolitan Public Witnessing program and serve as a key man.

Adrian met his wife Teela Tasby at a housewarming party on Saturday, March 11, 1995. In Teela’s words - “In true Taylor fashion, he came up to me and asked my name and phone number...very boldly I might add. But after my initial hesitation, I gave him my number.” This was the start of a romance and on July 12, 1997, they were  married. This beautiful union produced two sons, first Cohen in November of 2003 and then Ethan in August of 2007.

Adrian nurtured the differences in his sons. Cohen enjoyed sports while Ethan was fascinated with nature (some may remember “save the sharks campaign“). But Adrian made sure to give each of the boys individual attention. His goal was to teach them to love others and most of all Jehovah.

Adrian was a very outgoing but laid back person. In his younger years, he loved playing basketball with his brothers and close friends. They played nearly every weekend with a group who dubbed themselves the “Fab Five”(Justin, Korey, Kelly, Mike, and Tiger). As he got older, with less time and more responsibilities, he still found a way to play sports, but this time online with his oldest son Cohen and even his wife - with the lure of a new pair of shoes.

For those who knew him, the name Adrian Taylor will bring to mind a man who was committed. He took all of his responsibilities seriously. He was a hard worker and a loving husband, father, as well as a loyal friend. His comments, his talks, and his prayers revealed the depth of his spirituality and the closeness of his relationship with Jehovah.

Adrian “AD” Paul Taylor passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday, April 1, 2020 in Ann Arbor, MI at the age of 46. He leaves to cherish his memory:  his loving wife Teela Taylor;  two sons Cohen and Ethan Taylor; parents, Robert and Sandra Taylor; mother-in-law Jessie Tasby; grandmother Jessie Huddleston; sister-in-law Mercedes Choike (Joseph); two nieces Princess and Paris; three nephews Khalille, Kyron, and Deangelo; three siblings Justin Collins Taylor (Tanika), Horace Joshua Taylor, and Lauren Meredith Taylor; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends.

Memories

April 7, 2020
From: Kevin Kennedy

I’ve known AD since we were 12 years old.  We went to Gabriel Richard Middle School together. We grew up in the same Circuit, played basketball with him in the same gym’s over the years and he always been a part of my consciousness for the last 35 years.  I watched him go from being one of the many guys that I grew up with in the truth, to a rarity amongst all of the brothers I know in the truth.  What I mean by that is, what is stated at Php. 3:18, he is one of the ones that I can mention with joy and not with weeping.

Why joy?

Because over the last 35 years I watch him learn how to serve Jehovah and he never left Him.  Young A.D. married Teela, learned how to become a good head and as they accepted the challenges of marriage, he stayed devoted to her, setting a great example for all of us.  I watched him learn how to become a father to Cohen and Ethan, setting a wonderful example doing that.  I saw him learn how to become a  Shepherd, and set he a great example doing that.

I have very few people that I’ve known since I was 12 that never left Jehovah, stayed married to the wife of their youth, with a record to be admired as a father and family man.

The only weeping that I mention in connection with Adrian is that his death is the only thing that interrupted his service to Jehovah.   When you think about it, Adrian still is setting a wonderful example for all of us.

Faithful & True

April 4, 2020
To the entire Taylor Family,

I grew up with Adrian & have known him since the age of 8. We went to school together from elementary to high school. Adrian was always a good guy, gave good advice and was a true friend. He loved Jehovah & always wanted to do things Jehovah's way. Before I moved from Michigan I would always see Adrian, Cohen & Ethan at Myron's Barbershop & we would always catch up on the latest conversations about living in these last days. He would always ask me about my parents & my brothers and always had something positive to say.

I remember when he started dating you Teela & the first time I met you he said: "I used to walk her home from school" & I would laugh and say yep......Adrian made sure I got home safely everyday.

I am so sorry for the loss of Adrian. It is truly comforting to know we are in the last part of the last days & to see Bible prophecy being fulfilled strengthens our faith to know that we will see Adrian again soon.

Literally JUST AROUND THE CORNER!!!

Keeping the entire brotherhood in my prayers.
