Otunba!! Waoh! Just like that. My dearest of friends. We shall hangout no more. At least not in this realm. May your wonderful soul rest in perfect peace until we meet again.
It was an absolute privilege and pleasure to call you my friend. The memories of you will live with me for the rest of my life. The day we started and completed the 26 mile London marathon to mark your 50th birthday, our "boys trip" to Nigeria without our respective families,your often brutal honesty towards me, in all issues. That, especially, I have missed and will continue to miss.
God bless your soul, my friend as he stands by your wife and sons

"Uncle, the Sunday after you were laid to rest. I saw you in my dream. We visited few places together, had fun as usual. Then I asked why you left us, you mumbled few words and eventually said Grandma (your Mum) was the reason you left, I vehemently & respectfully disagreed with your excuse. We continued with our adventure of visits. It got to a point you said you wanted to go somewhere and called a bike-man, you climbed on the bike and I started to insist on taking you to where you were going, you hesitated and reluctantly came down from the bike, then I woke up.... I miss you, Uncle. The good experience of meeting you continues to linger in the mouth of many individuals, you were a different person to many.Continue to Rest In Peace. Olumilade Adelakun (Nephew)

Dad as I fondly called you, it's still a shock that you are gone, I still can't believe that you won't be around anymore.
The finality and fickleness of life has never been clearer to me until now.
Se bii a se n ku na nii iyi?
But I guess we should be comforted by the life you lived and how many people's life you managed to impact on during your lifetime.
Olumeeto, chairman, mediator, our father, our husband, our uncle, our friend and a guiding light to many, sun re oh Akinola Ajao omo Subuola.

A golden heart stopped beating,
hard working hands now rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.

We are thankful and full of praises regardless of the gaping hole in our hearts, for we know that you have gone home to rest and we will be comforted by The Lord.
Sleep on Beloved, we'll miss you immensely.

It's not fair how you were just taken from us like that, but God always always has a greater plan and all we can do is pray for a greater understanding of what he has installed. Uncle your life impacted so many people when you were alive, your warm spirit , and definitely your sense of humour. I always loved the relationship you and my dad had , it was great to see such a solid friendship after just a few years. Your friendship caused for our families to get closer and now I see Yemi and Ladi as my own brothers and aunty as another mother. Every time I greeted you , you would call me 'Okanlawon' and give me a high five, I laughed every time , even though at first I had no idea what it meant, I will miss that a lot. I thank you for the joy you brought to my family and definitely others. We love and miss you so much. Rest in Perfect Peace Uncle.

My dear uncle A as I fondly call you, I can't even fathom that you're dead as I believed you could survive anything but alas death is a debt we all owe. As I sit in the first Baptist Church ijaye abeokuta for your memorial service, it's still hard to believe I won't see you again or hear your wise counsel. God bless your kind and good heart, you will be missed by a lot of people and for a long time to come.

A TRIBUTE TO MY DEAREST FRIEND
ADIEU “Mon Friend”!
It is hard to come to terms that the curtain is drawn finally.
There is nothing else one can do than to wish you an eternal Rest in Perfect Peace
When we first met in the 80’s our relationship was purely friendship and to my family, one family.
You possessed all the attributes of a genuine friend.
Wisdom, tolerance, fairness, compassion, humility and .the ability to make everyone who was graced enough to meet you, feel special.
Till death, you never changed and no dull moments.
You were a man of impeccable character, highly principled, honest, genuine person and forever
you shall be remembered for your goodness by anyone who was fortunate enough to get to know you as a person.
I give glory to God for granting you a successful and prosperous life and although you have gone to rest with the father, I pray that your children shall continue to live and preserve your legacy of the great Akinola Kehinde.
“Rest in Peace with the Lord in Paradise; where you shall neither hunger nor thirst, where you shall continue to enjoy perpetual joy, peace and happiness until we meet to part no more. Amen

It seems as if it was a dream all this time until now. We cannot express how deeply we have missed you since your departure. You were more than a friend to us, we have because like one family. We have been to places together, we've been in and out of each others houses whenever we both felt like. We miss you so much.
Although we are sad about your departure we know that you are in a better place and God will take care of the family that you left behind. We love you but God loves you more. Rest in peace our dearest. With a lot of love from the Obasekis .

Mr. Akinola Michael Kehinde too short,
Ecclesiastes chp.3 vs 1&2 says"To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven". A time to be born and a time to die. This is your own time to answer the call and say goodbye.
My children and i were deeply saddened when we heard that you left us suddenly.
We received the news with shock and heavy heart, especially for your wife and children, although you live a short life, but it is not how far but how well. death is a debt that we all owe. This moment reminded me of your involvement in my serious marital issues in 2007 and your saying that your purpose in the earth was to make peace around families and homes but you are not a pastor. Well done my brother, in-law and friend for fulfilling your purpose before you left this sinful earth.
May God Almighty grant you eternal Rest in His bosom, and grant Lola -(ur wife), Olayemi and Oladimeji (ur children) the spirit and strength to bear your fortified loss which is irreparable.
AKINOLA MICHAEL KEHINDE REST IN PERFECT PEACE.

Egbon,
Book of Ecclesiastes - A Time For Everything
To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
a time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;
a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
a time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
a time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboreth?
I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it. He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.
I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life. And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labor, it is the gift of God. I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him.
That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.

The Bible, King James Version

TRIBUTE TO A RARE GEM – AKINOLA KEHINDE

“There is a time for everything, a season for every activity under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die…" (Ecclesiastes 3:1-2). The passing on to glory of Mr. Michael Akinola Kehinde is just becoming real. We spoke together on 26th December, 2013. You recalled the challenges you had faced for over a month, and you assured me that the siege was over, only to receive the devastating news that you were gone in less than 48 hours after.
Akin, you were more of a brother to me than a friend for over three decades. You never lived your life to become a burden to anyone; instead, you carried the burdens of many people. I could not believe that you would leave us so early in this race called life. No words or emotions can describe how much it hurts to realize that your lovely wife and sons as well as relatives and friends will no longer see you. Your demise is an enormous loss to everyone who has had the opportunity of having contact with you. You were a loving husband to your wife, a caring father to your sons, a rallying point to the Kehinde dynasty of Ijaye-Abeokuta, and a wonderful companion to friends. A devout Christian, a comforter - always willing to help the helpless; a philanthropist - always willing to touch and impact lives, you were too nice to a fault.
You played the wonderful role of a Choirmaster at The First Baptist Church, Ijaye-Abeokuta in the 80s and 90s. You were such a committed leader. You stood by me during my time of grieve. You were the rallying point to every community you found yourself, while here on earth. The Christars Society (of The First Baptist Church, Ijaye-Abeokuta), the Baptist Boys High School Old Boys Association, the Ojesina Family, to mention a few, will surely miss you.
Akinola Ajao, sleep well until the resurrection morning, when we shall meet to part no more. Your sweet memories will forever remain green in our minds. May God Almighty grant us all, the fortitude to bear the loss and the strength to survive this tragedy. Sun re o.

Life is so short it's difficult to believe that you are gone. I am deeply saddened. My thoughts are with your family. Lord of Host will uphold your wife and children. It's been a long way we worked together in the ministry of Lands and Housing then joined military in 1979/80. We all later become a soldier for Christ. Then got married to our lovely sister Lola we can never forget your labour of love, humility and support. I normally call you my brother. Heavenly father will support your family. King of Glory will encourage sister Lola and the boys. It is well.

Words cannot express how sad we are that you left us so suddenly. The news of your passing was received with shock; we still exchanged greetings on Christmas day, just few days before.
We celebrate the life you lived; selfless, giving, uniting extended family members at every given opportunity. We shall all miss you!
I would miss your greetings; “eku dede iwo yi o”, “se ko easy ju? “se ewa okay?”. There was never a dull moment with you! Yours was a large heart!

We love you but God loves you best. When you said good night on the 26th we didn't realise you are going home to heaven . Dearest counsellor/brother you will be missed greatly . Your smile, your words of wisdom and encouragements ,and the grace of resolving issues diplomatically we will miss. We know a man who is humble and respectful and that man is our bro Akin fondly called the counsellor. We will miss you but the legacy you have left behind will linger on in our hearts. We pray that God will uphold the entire family till we meet again at Jesus feet. We love you but God loves you best .Odi owuro.

Uncle mii,
Though your exit is so sudden, irreparable and so painful,
Your good works, sense of humor and fatherly input speaks
louder, still resonates and gives a feeling that you probably
just stepped into the next room.
We wished you could stay with us longer, for you were a
major focal point in our big family.
Till we meet again at the pearly gates of heaven, may your
soul be at peace as you rest in the Lord’s bossom.

Dear Mr Akinola Kehinde,
It was Saturday 28th, September 2013 at LAGOS ISLAND RESTAURANT, 417 LEA BRIDGE ROAD.E10 7EA we last seen one another and other colleagues during our Alma mater meeting (UK/Ireland chapter. Not knowing that the idea proposed by the current president in which we all agreed to and you particularly indeed indicated your great enthusiasms for the project. It was unfortunate that death took you away. We all loves you however, the Almighty God loves you more than any one of us. We are going to miss your kindness and your conscientious mind. Death is what we owe and it’s inevitable we can only pray that we all reach an acceptable age that is desirable before the death take us away.

The family of Akinola Michael Ajao Kehinde's reflection

December 29, 2020
It was 7 years ago that you left us. Over the years in family discussions, your jokes, your speeches and phrases come up.  There are situations when I will always think about what will Akin say or what will he do. Even on occasions forgetting you are not there, I will ask Akin, what is your opinion?
Your presence was felt when Zuriel was born. I thought about what you will be doing? and how you will declaring for your friends. Even though you are not there, Zuriel and siblings will grow up with the stories of who their grandfather is. As we all gather yesterday remembering you, we had an opportunity to thank God for sustaining us. I pray that the song of God praise will never seize in our mouth.
Continue to rest in the blossom of the almighty God.

I always remember your cool face and cool voice.
l also remember the day l met you coming from sister Lola’s house in Abule OLONI that was the beginning of your love affair with my lovely sister.
My brother Kehinde was opened and told me about his new love. Fortunately l was actually going to sister Lola’s house. I got to sister Lola’s place guess what ! ! we gist and gist.
Sister Lola is just like a mother to me in school of nursing.
it’s easy for us to gist and gist because my dear brother and l were together in military in Zaria and also worked together in ministry of lands and housing Abeokuta just before we went into military.

When l remember the beginning and the boys God has blessed them with l just want us to thank God for everything.  God knows the best.

Lord of host will continue to keep the entire family and grant you all your heart desires in Jesus Name. Remain blessed remain one body in Christ.
