His Life

Not one day goes by that I don't think of you.

April 15, 2013

Andrew was born with a rare complex heart disease, meaning he had five different things wrong with it. He had his first open heart bypass operation when he was 6 weeks old and another within the year. His third operation was done in a different Scottish hospital with different surgeons in June 2001. He was great for 2 weeks then he deteriorated again and had several mini strokes. His heart wasn't stong enough to cope with the demands put on it, he only had 3 pumping chambers and the mitral valve was missing. Andrew dies at 9.30 pm on Tuesday October 2nd 2001.
