Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid"

We met Ann while we were attending another church and she joined our church family at Christ Community Church with several other friends. Ann was always willing to serve rather than be served. Her spirit of love, support and encouragement will always be remembered. We enjoyed having Ann join us for Thanksgiving Dinner several years and I still have a "musical rocking teddy bear" she gave me because she knew I collected teddy bears. Another wonderful reminder of Ann's love and generosity. Ann you are missed. Hazel & David Mitchell

I remember Ann as a hard worker and very caring to all. We met at church in 1998 and became very close friends quickly and have enjoyed many lunches together, as well as other activities. I shall miss Ann’s thoughtful perspectives, her smile, her willingness to help, and “telling it like it is” attitude. Ann, my dear friend, until we meet again.........(in Heaven).

Keith and I enjoyed our friendship with Ann for many years. Keith worked with Ann on our church Sunday offering and I, Joyce, worked with Ann in our church office. Ann loved working in the church office and contributed much more than that with her excellent administrative skills. Ann provided needed assistance to everyone who walked into the church. She was fun, compassionate and efficient. She will be missed.

Enjoyed many Friday lunches with Ann in the New Hope Fellowship office as I learned by watching and talking with her, some of the finer points of being a church secretary. We shared life experiences and the ways the Lord had led in our lives. She was an encouragement to me. I'm blessed to have had her as part of my life in Arizona.

Her Life

Mom's life story

April 19, 2020
Ann Marie Grebe, of Florence, AZ passed away peacefully on March 19, 2020 at home. She was born in Milwaukee, WI on August 21, 1938. She attended Spencerian College in the School of Secretarial Studies graduating with an Associate in Arts degree. While she was working at Westmoor Country Club she met her beloved husband of 50 years, Darrell. On January 13, 1962, they were married.Darrell & Ann had her daughter Pat.  She was a little girl of 4 pounds and 15 ounces, being 6 weeks premature. Ann developed her talent of baking after meeting her husband Darrell who was a pastry chef.

During Ann’s working career, her employers included Security Savings and Loan, WI Concrete Assoc, Specialty Tool & Fastener Distributors, Lord of Life Lutheran Church and New Hope Fellowship Church. Her work as an Administrative Assistant enabled her to enjoy traveling within the US and to the Orient and even met President Ford. Upon Darrell's retirement, Ann moved to Arizona.Shortly after the move, another person came into her life, Al her beloved son-in-law.

Ann enjoyed many years in the Sun Cities area working for local churches and enjoying her friends. She had many talents of baking, sharing Christmas cookies, counted cross stitch, crafts, and always sharing her love toward others in need.

As a prior member of Christ Community Church, she was active in bible study, acting as a greeter and enjoyed baking cookies to share with fellow members. She was involved with many churches over the years and volunteer projects and was always happy to serve the Lord.

On Thursday, March 19th 2020, the Lord decided it was time for Ann to come home to be Him. We know she is at peace with the Lord and reunited with her beloved spouse. Ann leaves behind her daughter Pat and son-in-law Al and those lives she has touched

Tom and dona will remember an evening at al and pat's home when we made chocolate syrup with ann.  We brought a double boiling pan to help with making the chocolate syrup.  We laughed, visited, joked and ate some of the chocolate that evening.  Ann was talkative, shared some stories about Arizona and left us with the chocolate syrup recipe.  Pat, over the years has shared many stories about mom.  Pat, also has many kitchen items that she has used when making dinners for her friends given to her by ann.  Ann is at peace now in heaven.  She will be missed by family and friends.
