Anna Reagan, a long-time resident of the Tower on 19th (formerly Bethel Towers) passed away unexpectedly on January 17, 2014. Anna would have been 80 years old on October 5, 2014 (a birthday she shares with her twin sister Hazel Poppin). Anna was born in Los Angeles and is the widow of George Bartlett (“Bart”) Reagan. She is survived by her four children: Denise Parker and her husband Al of Lake Las Vegas and Temecula, Paul Sakrekoff III of Oceanside, Valerie Delzer and her husband Mike of Irving, Texas, and Matt Sakrekoff of Huntington Beach. Anna’s large family also includes 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her former husband, Paul Sakrekoff, Jr. of Merced.
Anna had an amazing talent for cultivating and keeping long-time friends. She will be remembered by those who knew her for never forgetting a birthday or special occasion, often adding a personalized “singing telegram” voice message which will be missed dearly. Anna was very tenacious as exemplified by her ability to single-handedly change the street address of Bethel Towers from 666 W. 19th St. to the more suitable 678. She was an active member of Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa, and attended both services and bible study regularly. She became especially active in Costa Mesa city politics as well as the Republican party in Orange County. Anna loved driving and enjoyed taking “the scenic route” which would often make a long journey out of a simple trip to a near-by destination. She regularly traveled great distances to attend social and church-related events held by the Russian Molokan community to which she was born.
Anna has been laid to rest at Pacific View Memorial Park in Corona Del Mar. She strongly believed in organ donation and it would be a tribute to make a donation in her name to Children's Organ Transplant Association/ http://www.cota.org/ in lieu of flowers.

Leave a tributeI love you Grandma, and miss you dearly.
I will be celebrating with you
twin sister today and remember
so many fond memories of you.
We're still missing you!!
Everyday since you've left us I have missed you, so much....
I've known you all my life, and its still hard to imagine you not in it.
My heart hurts to think that we wont be doing our usual trip to Jon's Coffee Shop with your twin sister (grandma)...And I still haven't been back there since you were with us...Grandma and I reminisce about all the memories of you. I'm sure she must miss you more than me, since you guys are twins and best friends. She keeps asking me why she's the last sibling to be living, considering she's never cared much for her health. To help her confusion I tell her "its because your job isn't done Grandma"!
I know one day you three sisters will be together up in heaven...Thank you for teaching me to fight for the things I believe in. Thank you for showing me to stand up for others or the less fortunate. Thank you for having my back so many times when it came to family or non-family. I know this can go on and on, but I just mainly wanted to say thank you for all that you've done for me and my family. And if its not too much trouble, can you help grandma with her grieving/pain!¿
It was a joy to know you, you Mighty Warrior for Truth and Justice in the Name of the King's Kingdom! No doubt we will enjoy each other's company in the future....your quick smile and laugh remains with me still...forever in my heart....Joy is Your's Permanently!
When I started teams who were speaking at school board meetings expressing our concerns about Common Core Standards, she became one of our faithful, dedicated team members who spoke with us at the school board meetings. She was very responsible and dedicated and always early. Her favorite speech was, “Stop it! Fix it or Scrap it.” When she spoke at school board meetings she let them know that she had relatives who had children in their school district. She knew many of the school board members and met with them personally. She also knew many of the local legislators and she went with me when I met with some of them to express our concerns about Common Core. She was looking forward to helping with campaigns.
I have Video Night Plus meetings at my home every Sunday evening and we play a video or have a speaker. She really enjoyed attending. She was very proud of her Russian heritage and all of her relatives. She was very active, involved and alert. Her faith was a very important part of her life. She mentioned that many of her friends had passed away recently and it was difficult for her. We miss her, but I’m sure she is having a great time in heaven, being with those who passed on before her. She set a great example of having a strong faith in Christ, and actively doing what she could to take a stand for what she believed was best for the children.
Anna, it was a pleasure to know you and respect you for your faithfulness and commitment to Christ, to the children and to patriotism. Your friend, Gloria Pruyne, Chairman of Orange County Common Core Concerned Citizens.
We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. 2 Cor. 5:8, (KJV)
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Rom 8:38-39, (NIV)
“Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. 14 We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him.” 1 Thess 4:13-14, (NIV)
More than once I was a witness of this spontaneous conversation she had with her Lord and Savior. Right in the middle of a discussion she would simply invite the Lord in to share our concerns. It was inspiring to be in the presence of one of such familiar ease would petition the Father in Heaven as if in a continuous conversation with Him.
She was a true joy the time she went to North Hollywood with Steve Jackson and I to a conference.
Anna’s speech at the Newport Mesa School Board is the first YouTube Video I have ever posted. Here:

We miss you already. You never forgot a birthday, and we will miss you leaving your singing telegrams every year. We are thankful that you were able to know and love your Great Grandaughter Gwen who will miss you and remember you always.
We often take for granted when someone amazing has touched our lives until its to late. We may have lost an angel here on earth, but the heavens have gained a shining star. We will look for you shining down on us as you always have here on earth.
Thank you for loving me as one of your own, thank you for your unwaivering generosity, and thank you for always showing up when we least expected with a big smile on your face. it was always your way.
