His Life

Papa Tony

October 29, 2016

Tony Pizzano passed away at his home after battling cancer for over three years.  Tony was a strong Christian and leaned heavily on the Lord to help him deal with his illness.  He always had a smile on his face and never complained.

The Lord took him home on October 28, 2016.  Tony was born in Brooklyn New York, four days before Christmas, to Hazel and Anthony.  Tony moved to Seattle when he was two with his five siblings, Maria, Al (Suellen), Joan (Lloyd), Laura (Jerry), and Loretta (deceased).

Tony graduated from Shorecrest High School in 1978.  He had three children Jessica (Jeremy), Jennifer (Jon), and Josh (Maija) with his former wife, Chris. In 2007 Tony met, and later married, the “Love of his life”, Carrie.  They enjoyed traveling to warm sunny places and had fun taking a trip or two each year.

Carrie has two daughters, Kayleigh (Sean), and Alanna (Dane), who he quickly accepted into his big heart.  Tony and Carrie loved spending time with their five children and eight grandchildren: Elijah, Jaydin, Max, Ena, Francis, Violet, (deceased), Hazel, and Edie.

Tony loved to work with his hands. He was an avid gardener and seemed to be able to grow anything. Every year he created magnificent beautiful gardens and kept busy building or remodeling something around either his house or a friend, relative, or neighbor’s house.   He was a great carpenter and retired from the Carpenter’s Union.  Prior to joining the Union, he built several houses and would gladly help his family or friends with their home projects.

Tony also loved hunting, fishing, and boating.  His favorite past time however was spending time with his family.  He had a variety of nicknames.  He was a wonderful father (Daddy), grandfather (Papa), loving loyal husband (Sweetheart), a great brother (Boy Boy), a caring son (Anthony), and a true friend to anyone who knew him.

Tony you are deeply loved and missed.
