Art's celebration of life will be held Sunday, September 16th in Portland, Oregon at the Portland Art Museum at 2 pm.
In June of 2012, Art was diagnosed with Cushings Disease and stage four Adrenal Cortical Carcinoma shortly after. As you can imagine, this was all very overwhelming to him and his family. He chose to keep his condition private and received a lot of support from his children and a select few.
Although his illness progressed quickly, he had first class medical care and fought as hard as he could. In the end he claimed to be in peace, to have no fear, and could not recall one regret in his life. He was by the side of close family including his five children: Jenna, Natalia, Renata, Salvatore, and Lorenzo.
In lieu of flowers, Art would have liked for donations to be sent to two places of his choice: The Oregon Symphony and/or University of Michigan, The Adrenal Cancer Foundation.
