Christmas time at our house.

Augie loved to goof around with the neices and nephews all of the time!!  They LOVED him!!  They all say he was the "real fun" Uncle!!

Augie was Luke's Godfather!!

He is trying to hide behind the .....food??  His daughter Kelsie was taking these photos of him with my camera!!  I love them!!!

I believe his  his daughter was taking these photos with my camera one Christmas at my house. 

I know it is just a few seconds, but it made my heart stop just to see him and hear his voice once more!!

He would soooooo kick my ass for putting this on!!  He hated his school pictures every year!!   One year I believe, it was third grade he ripped up moms 8x10.  She was sooo mad.

My brother and chickens.........such a bad combination.  He had his brown station wagon at the time and his coharts in this vehicle  I won't name any names -------(paul;keith;possibly jesse) he he he. They had all been drinking .This was when they where still in high school I believe. All I heard about was how they went to someones house and went on a rampage of the chickens. Just ran them right down.  Yeah ok....who the hell does that???  lol  Only my brother.   Driving all over the yard. Well that is another way of saying playing chicken huh?? lol

One saturday Augie was playing with the neighbor kids and I was of course following them and bugging them! I must have been around 7 years old so that would make Augie 11. 

We lived right in town on a corner street (I would say downtown, but that would make Tigerton sound big) anyway...we lived right next to the flag pole so we would watch Jerry Block put the flag up and take it down everyday.  Well one day when he was putting it up Augie, his friend, and I were watching.  It was freezing out and it was going to snow.  After he was done he left and Augie started looking at the pole!  It had white stuff all over it.  I had no clue what it was so I asked Augie what it was.  He gladley (a little too happily I know now) proceeded to inform me that it was great tasting ice.  He told me to take a taste by licking the pole!

Most of you reading this know what the outcome was with this, but I will write it anyway.

Once I touched my tounge to the pole....bam it was stuck.  I of course freaked out and ripped my tounge (what was left of it of course) off of the pole.  Now that lovely brother of mine was laughing so hard he could barely stand (asshole) while I screamed with a mouth full of blood. Who would have ever guessed your tounge could produce so much blood in 2 point 2 seconds.

HE had fun for the next several days pointing out my forever lost taste buds that were stuck to the pole while walking to school!  lol  

I love you brother!! Hope there are flag poles where you are cause when I get there, pay back is a bitch brother of mine!  Till we meet again! CJ

Augie means the world to our dad!!  He misses him so much. I remember once calling to talk with Augie and when he answered the phone I had to look at the number that I dialed just to make sure it was not our father by mistake.  I remember I could not get over how much Augie was starting to sound just like our father!! 

Augie with two friends..Keith and Pete.  Keith was kinda like a second brother! He was around all of the time!!  Augie enjoyed being around him alot. They were two peas in a pod!!

Dimitri had just jumped on Augie and then jumped off and he said something to him that was very funny!!  Can not remember what it was, but I remember Augie's comment of "What the hell!"

Here is a picture that is pretty special!  We have all three August's here.  August SR, JR, & III.  Very nice generation picture!

Augie dressed up like Santa and even though she did not see him getting dressed, Haley greeted Santa with a "Hello Daddy!!"  When we tried to tell her that NO that was not daddy but santa  she said "No that is my Daddy...see his watch!" 
What do you say after that!!  LOL 

Augie LOVED hunting turkey!!!  He could be working in his garage with the radio going and still come running out because he heard a turkey peep'n or purr'n in the woods.  From what I hear from Julie....this was the only time he enjoyed a photo taken of him.  He would yell for someone to run and get the camera!!

The theme song to the tv show "Cheers" stated that "you want to go where everyone knows your name". Fleet Farm was definately that place for Aug!

This picture and the other picture posted are the only pictures I have with Ben & Aug together. this will forever be one of my favorite memories of Aug.

If we had only known about how Aug dressed up like this  - and he used to make fun of how i dressed! lol!

Dimitri always took Augie by surprise.  Augie would pick on him or punch him and Dimitri would punch him back 3xs harder.  Augie would laugh.  Many of the photos that I have with Augie smiling or laughing is with Dimitri.  Dimitri never thought twice about jumping on his lap or grabbing his hat and wearing it around!!  Augie would just watch and laugh!! 
I am so happy that I have the pictures but would give them all up for the real thing!!
It hurts my heart to think that he will not be here in body only spirit!
